If you don't come to this show, you might as well buy a Trivium shirt and toss out the strech pants, because you have FAILED AT METAL.

Good idea. Rich would end up messing up a good time. Although these bands are a bit too gimmicky for my taste.

What are you talking about, there aren't any black people in these bands.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at May 25,2006 9:19am
bill's bar is 5.5 lansdown st, next to fenway park/axis/avalon/etc

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 25,2006 9:29am
that's what I thought, but I never saw it when I walked down there.
which side is it on?

toggletoggle post by VoidExpression  at May 25,2006 9:31am
It's on the same side as Axis. It's between that piano bar and the "mexican" place.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 25,2006 9:34am
that's the only place I could think that it would be.
what did it used to be called?

I went to a KMFDM show where the "piano bar" is. I forget what it was called. that was in 1995 or 1996.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at May 25,2006 9:35am
the piano bar use to be karma club, bills has been bills for a while. axis use to be spit i think.

I will have a sampler disc of the Dissector/IWEIPH split for you tonight, Aaron.

Aaron and Rich make a cute couple.

even though Splatterhouse and Machetazo's set list was cut very short, I had a great night. Got a hotdog, saw a chick strip, and thrashed out. Now off to pass out so I can be rested for the trip to Maryland tomorrow.

toggletoggle post by demondave at May 26,2006 2:33am edited May 26,2006 2:33am
I had a great night. Work sucked and I needed this. I made some posters combining the artwork from the Blind Dead movies and The Machetazo Logo and I gave them to the band. I just did it for fun. The band loved it. Members of Splatterhouse kept coming up to me and telling me how cool the posters were.

By the way, what was with the strippers? Not that I'm complaining...just wondering. Was one of those girls in Call The Paramedics? (I missed their set so I'm not sure) She kept banging into me and randomly gyrating.

Nice pictures, Rev. I'm too tired to post my review. Glad Splatterhouse and Machetazo found their way, real bummer their sets were cut short. I'll see them in Maryland though.

Somebody get Psycho on more shows now. They're back and in full action.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 26,2006 3:45am
ditto dissector.
will post review in the morning.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at May 26,2006 9:34am
Call The Paramedics was terrible, you guys were right. They played some variation of nu-metal and wannabe punk. Luckily for us they had a gimmick to mask their terrible sound.

I almost got into a fistfight with their toothless fag singer, but his hostilities deflated pretty quickly when Jeff Horror came over haha.

Dissector was fun, but they seemed pretty unenthusiastic last night. Psycho was great, I am surprised more people weren't into them. Some dickhead with a mullet and a suffering bastard shirt didn't like them because he wasn't a real man. Splatterhouse was my favorite of the night, but The Machetazo was fucking great too.

toggletoggle post by Kinslayer at May 26,2006 10:26am
Splatterhouse thrashed like crazy! I was blown away by thier set.
Slaughter of the Soul meets a thrashing Carcass hybrid...killer shit.

Machetazos Ace of Spades cover was epic!

A big thanks to everybody who came, and to everybody who left while Call The Paramedics played. Fuck those guys.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at May 26,2006 1:01pm
Call The Paramedics are a bunch of faggots. All night long I prayed that they would fight us. But instead they pussied out of every confrontation... or bought Jeff a show so that they could stay out of the hospital. The singer is a faggot GG wannabe without any balls. I called his diseased whore stripper a stupid cunt that should be murdered and that if she touched me I'd break her fucking arm off with him a few inches away and he did nothing but pretend to not hear.

Psycho was fucking awesome. Awesome stage presence, awesome tunes.

Dissector didn't have their greatest night due to shitting bricks because they thought their two drawing bands weren't showing up.

Splatterhouse and Machetazo killed. I thrashed out. I got t-shirts. The end.

toggletoggle post by pam nli at May 26,2006 1:13pm
I just looked through the pictures. If you have a whore onstage, and you're not GWAR, you probably suck pretty bad. Also, bleeding is getting pretty elementary.

I didn't expect Dissector to look like such sweet upstanding young men. haha.

I'm gonna check out Splatterhouse, stat.

Seriously though, in the future "No Rich Horrors" means NO RICH HORRORS. Except for Euro-Version Rich Horror and Bizzaro-World Rich Horror, but they are the exceptions to the rule.

"no, I mean not right now" me

"he' probably just seeing if you were cool." one of the horrors

dissector: eddie has lost his powers... Since matt harvey (exhumed) cut his hair... Well.. I guess long hair isn't the "cool thing." any more. Their set was kind of akward. Due to the lack of hair, the sound guy and.. I'm not sure what. From the back, during the sound check, it sounded awesome. Anyone fortunate enough to be in there hear it got a treat.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 28,2006 1:22pm
call the paramedics: I have no idea what I just saw. Musically, they sounded like SBC, but heavier. visually, it was like a sloppy kill the client set. the singer flailed around the stage a lot, knocking over everything, mics, stands, unplugging things, breaking all the mics, and bleeding. When the sound guy got on stage to fix the mics, he got hit on the head with a loose mic. all the while, there was a girl on stage dancing and flopping around on the floor like a fish. I'm pretty sure the people in the front came with the band. They were slamming into each other and tossing each other on the floor. Well, until they got yelled at for it. Also, the girls from the crowd all ended on the stage 1/2 naked too. To top the set off, the singer had some of the most hilarious tattoos ever, like DRUNK across his stomach. I hope you can read them in the pictures. And sorry to mr. Horror tang, call me gay, but I came to shoot bands and not girls dancing.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 28,2006 1:26pm
psycho: these guys ruled. I honestly don't know anything about tem or their history, but these guys killed. Someone needs to book them at an obrien's show. they were the perfect mixture of goregrind and black flaggy punk. it was cool to discover a band that's really old who are doing things that newer "amazing" bands are rediscovering (i call this the Atheist effect) aahahha "meat market to all you sluts out there" it's funny cause I'm sure it was directed at the people with call the paramedics since they wouldn't put their cloths back on. the bassist looked like Hitler when he held his pick. the bassist was the most animated on stage.

UPDATE: I checked their myspace and they've gone through every type of music from pop punk to grindcore to hardcore.. tons of reincarnations... weird.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 28,2006 5:19pm
splatterhouse: they rushed in late and then didn't seem to rush to set up so they played for maybe 20 minutes. Far far far too short of a time for them to play. People thrashed around during their set and immediately got booted from the club. That sucked. I thought I would get to see them again in maryland, but it didn't happen.

machetazo: wow, I've been waiting for a long time to check out these guys. They were short and awesome. I think they migt have gotten 15 minutes. I looked at their set list and it looked great. Unfortunately, they had to cut corners on the songs and actually put in a cover of "ace of spades" with the singer of splatter house singing leads.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 28,2006 6:50pm
I forgot to say that machetazo played an encore song after the cover. the sound guy had turned of the house pa, but turned it back on when they started playing.

toggletoggle post by demondave at May 29,2006 10:55am
I was near the bar, when the someone from the club told Splatterhouse and Machetazo that they didn't have much time since they showed up late. I overheard him say that Machetazo had to get on stage by 12:30 to get a set in. I was annoyed because Splatterhouse should have immediately got their shit together instead of wasting time at the bar with their drink tickets. They could have done that after. They dicked around a lot. I really liked thir set, but they would have gotten more time, and would have given Machetazo a little more time too.

toggletoggle post by Dissector   at May 30,2006 11:03pm
I just finally got settled in after MDF so I finally have amy chance to talk about this show.

True, Dissector really wasn't on our game with this show. We put a lot of money into it and at that time in the night (when we were going on) it seemed pretty obviously that Splatterhouse and Machetazo weren't gonna show. Fortunately, they did, but still we were all paranoid at the time. Not to mention frustrated because the bounces at that place fucking SUCK! And the sound guy was being a tool with us. He rushed us at 7:30 to set up and sound check and he was acting like a jackass the whole time, meanwhile the show didn't even start til 9:30 so I didn't see what the rush was. I just fucking hate that club.

Sorry about CTP, for the record it wasn't my idea to book them. Jason from Splatterhouse asked if they could play.

Psycho needs more shows, right now. So get to it people who book shows.

Splatterhouse and Machetazo were fucking amazing but it's too bad their set times got cut down a lot. Really nice guys too. I asked for a medium Machetazo shirt but instead got a large Splatterhouse shirt that I already have, but didn't notice until I got home.

Needles to say, I'm never booking a show again. We really didn't ahve any energy that night because of all the problems and frustatrations so when we play shows I jsut want to get there, thrash out, then watch the rest of the bands, without having to worry about headliners or money. It definitely ruined our preformance. We played two new songs though. It felt good to paly them in front of new people.

toggletoggle post by chris_from_shit_fuck  at May 30,2006 11:32pm
Mike I honestly thought you guys were awesome, and can't wait for Sunday!
