I saw them with Layne in 1993 at Lotfullaloozas...

I may have to go to this... I saw Jerry Cantrell live once and he did 99% AiC songs and they sounded great. They had some nigger on 2nd guitar and he did some of Laynes parts and didnt sound half bad...

I'd like to see this, hopefully I can get a ticket. It sucks that alot of people are already panning it, saying that it will be horrible without Layne, when in reality Jerry wrote almost everything, and sang alot as well. I think they'll be able to do the material justice

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Apr 25,2006 10:09pm
I definately will NOT be at this...

you'll catch me at this show, right after I hit up the Pink Floyd show... and the Pearl Jam show...

ya.

toggletoggle post by yummy at Apr 25,2006 11:01pm
actually Pink Floyd is after. but cool, see ya there!

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Apr 26,2006 6:26am
anyone know how much tickets are gonna be?

toggletoggle post by Kinslayer at Apr 26,2006 9:11am
How can you compare Pink Floyd, Alice In Chains and fucking PEARL JAM?
All 3 bands are completely different and one of the three completely sucks! (PJ of course)

toggletoggle post by Bandanarama at Apr 26,2006 9:13am
hey man they all sold a lot of records so they're all really gay and terrible. i'll be at the crust punk show being wicxked troo to the scene.

toggletoggle post by Morbid_Mike at Apr 26,2006 11:48am
The dude from Damageplan was supposed to sing with em! What the hells his name?I used to know played for Halford too.

i'm on the fence with this. alice in chains is my favorite rock band of all time, BUT i just don't know if i could see them without layne on vocals. it really wouldn't be the same.

i wouldn't be so hesitant if they just played as a 3 piece (in fact i'd walk to the show if that were the case), but this duval dude is the epitomy of a staley rip-off vocalist.

enuff with the alice in chains shit.........THIS IS A METAL FORUM!

the point is, they all equally suck, are overrated, and yes... are gay.

this song is so amazing. the melodic section that comes in with "I DO IT ALOT" is perfect.

I wish Phil would do all the stuff this Duvall guy is doing. Or Jerry do more singing.

I saw Jerry Cantrell at Lupos in 98 he had this black guy do Laynes parts and it sounded awesome. Im pretty sure that black guy is singing for these shows and hopefully my tickets are coming and this show is gonna be insane. i also heard duff mckagen is playing second guitar. he played man in a box with them at a show in europe so they have been talking about it.

i think it would be a great way to pay tribute. like if Pantera went around and had the best guitarists fill in to pay tribute to the almighty Dime

I hated alternative music then, and I still hate it now.

toggletoggle post by dreadedsilence at Apr 27,2006 3:31pm
Tix are sold out already
There was a presale yesterday at 11. I got home from class at 2 and tried to get tix with the password i got and they were already sold out.

i've never heard William DuVall sing, but i'd be willing to check it out. it'd be sweet with Anselmo though. i don't give a shit how many people on here hate him, that would be awesome.

toggletoggle post by i_am_not_me   at Apr 27,2006 3:34pm
They sold out in 3 minutes if I heard right.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Apr 27,2006 3:40pm
william duvall is the black guy

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Apr 27,2006 3:45pm
