Boston hardcore / post-hardcore band VANNA seems to have completed work on their new album "The Search Party Never Came" for Epitaph Records. They were signed last year by Epitaph after Brett Gurewitz saw their Purevolume site (good boost for Purevolume, huh?).

http://www.epitaph.com/artists/album/476

It wasn't up yesterday or this morning, and you can hear the album online. They reprise their first disc with new arrangements and recording quality.

Check it out, these dudes live in Allston I think.

Let me guess....is this a Jake Bannon cover, Bannon of Converge, who also previously signed to Epitaph?

Somehow, I wasn't expecting terrible emo with safety pit breakdowns and growls.

hahah what's a safety pit?

I think I just made that up. Basically enough safety so kids will mosh and ensure the band's cred with the metalcore crowd. I used to call it UPC: Universal Pit Chug.

Just not my thing, I seriously didn't expect them to sound like this when I downloaded the .mp3. My loss I guess.

I could actually write 35 of these songs in an hour. Anyone want to join a fake screamo band?

yea dude...write an album and get signed to epitaph records...im sure you could do it, well once you get your head out of your ass. All the vanna guys are great dudes and there music is really enjoyable....go play your obscure metal and go no where with your life

not to knock these guys if they really did work hard BUT I HEARD they knew the guy who owns purevolume.com and he put them on the front page and that they got signed without much effort at all.

but yeah this is really generic, i want to start a PTW/7a7p esque metalcore band to try to make money.
