$10 for a band no one knows about? |
wow, and i was just thinking of what i can do with life aside from the metalfest, good timing. |
hahaha ive never heard of any of those bands except hell within
BORING
Frozen is playing?
Frozen still EXISTS?
(maybe it's a different Frozen) |
Frozen is awesome. Contemplating going just for them. The others can pretty much get fucked. |
I'm not really a fan, just surprised they are around. Wasn't that Colin's band before TYOOL? |
it was his original band I think... though people from tyool got mixed up and I'm pretty sure 1/2 of the people in MA have cycled through frozen |
Frozen played our first show. They are sensual. |
i thought it said heavy hitler when i first looked at it |
Now that I've heard Frozen, I'm seriously tempted to go. |
that's the reason I've decided to go |
frozen is pretty good. i heard those guys a while back and liked some of their stuff. their singer is really good. |
I really really want to go for Frozen, but alas, story of my life, I have no ride. |
herod: from buffalo, NY. these guys are on lifeforce (i guess they took this slot from hell within), but they were not a typical LF band. They singer sang like he's in judas priest or maiden and the music is heavy metal with double kick drums. There were barely any people in here. I think I made it 5. By the end of their set, a few more heads walked in but is stayed under 15 (which is about the same number that stayed when dismember played after shadows fall in 2000). there is a band that they reminded me of soundwise. I'm trying to remember who it is. They opened up for manowar when they played. (that band is havochate, thanks mark) they ended their set with the trooper.
december aeternalis: they seemed to take a really long time to set up. then they started off with a more doomy piece. The guitarst broke a string and they took a while to replace it so they only got one more song. When they didn't stop, the sound guy cut their mics. |
that sucks December A.E is a solid band and good dudes...reppin Newark, NJ |
kid deposit triumph: these guys had requested me on myspace, but they never replied so I didn't qccept them. They had 4 people doing singing including the drummer. The drummer sang the clean vocals.
human abstract, the: they sounded a lot better than they did the other night. The singer kept running off the stage when he wasn't actually singing. While they were playing, the singer and the bassplayer kept kicking each other.
pheonix mourning: again, a drummer that did clean vocals though he only did clean vocals part of the time. The singer actually did a lot of the clean vocals. Before their last song, they did part of a def lepperd cover and the drummer used one hand. That ruled. I wished they played the whole song. For some reason, they had a stage hand who ran around after the mic chord. |
Aaron, I'm 5 mins from the Palladium. Beers? |
Are you going on Saturday, Mary?
Me and my friend Matt will be up there around 2:00pm-ish.
Phoenix Mourning is awful. |

Did you move to Worcester?
This weekend we're staying in Worcester @ the Crowne |

frozen: the set was similar to the other set, but it seemed so short. they are much more confident than they were the last time I saw them. On thing that bugged me was when they start, the keys were so low that I thought it was just some weird feedback. after a song, the sound all came together and it sounded great. there is some foreign band that reminds me of the same sound, but I can't place who it is. they covered the song Jump at the end of their set. hilarious. |
Someone covered Def Leppard, and then someone covered Jump (I assume the Van Halen song)? What is this some kind of gothenburg Mass-metalcore trend? |
seems like it. frozen's singer also kept dropping the mic chord and some of the keys sounded like zombi. |
Yes ma'am
J.D.: Who's playing tomorrow? And how much is it for a ticket? |
