i can think of 5 way better reasons to be there. but i'm looking forward to it. bigtime.
yes, frank is our singer. he's a good guy at stuff. |
be there early rev we go on first! |
I'll get there around 7:30-ish, but I know the show won't start until 8-ish. |
I'm here. well that is that I've been here for a while. |
betrayed by all: they were plagued by the typical first band syndrome at roman's. The first band almost never gets anyone even moving for them. kind of sucks big time for the first band. Eventually, ed ran around (making everyone in his path flee in terror). they sounded ok, I think they need to turn everything up. There was at least one point where xmikex's bass playing was important, but you couldn't really hear it. Their songs got better as they played through their set.
choose your weapon: completely unexpected shit here. The singer was more hardcore, but the band play some good ass metal. Lots of semi-melodic riffs, a couple almost BDM fast breakdowns. It ruled. The kids dance a bit for them. Seems that hardcore kids do like them this is as odd as the fact that hardcore kids like internal bleeding. |
in our blood: a lot more kids danced for them their CD is not out yet, but there was some singing along. there was plenty of movement in the crowd and it seems like thw cool this to do is kicking the bases to the polls in the middle of the room
strength for a reason: they thanked punch the clown. Wow. their set was better than the set up in nashua from a few weeks ago. people really sang along with them a lot too. That was cool. Frankie chairs was on the mic a bunch. I sort of wished he'd had that much energy when BBA was on. |
blood for blood is setting upp right now. |
pictures uploading in a minute |
why is dave x in the crowd and not playing? |
there. my uploading stuff broke or something. |
listen up: since that wicked whatever band dropped off, this band was added. sort of like shoot to kill. I didn't really like the vocals at the beginning (just like I don't usually like STK's vocals 3 the beginning of their set). They were turned up way too high. Even though this was the second show they played that day, they still had a lot of energy. |
i took your advice actually. we played about twice as loud the next night in Baltimore and kids went off. actually every out of state show we've played so far (including western mass which might as well be another planet) we've gotten incredible crowd responses. oh well, I remember all the early DBD sets around here where nobody moved an inch except the same 5 kids. and look at them now. i still had fun. I wish you could've seen us in Baltimore though, it was a totally different story. |
awesome to hear.
baltimore is a long drive. |
death before dishonor: well, to start it off bryan brunt the tops of his feet in peurtorico so he was hobbling around on stage. Then, something messed up with the guitars so b-roll (ben) had to drive both cabs. It sounded good still, but a little werid since I've gotten use to them having both guitars. People still went off for them and In the end, I took a picture of the crew for dave's brother who is in jail. |

holy shit!?!?! did someone say something NICE about me on a messageboard,, that has to be a first. (thanks rev) haha,, i definitely agree with your review of our set,, sean and i were both feeling really sick and we played before most of the people (especially our friends) showed up,, so i wasnt into our set at all.. that was our first "{"bad"" show. hahah guess it had to happen at some point.. but it was still a good night , with dbd, choose your weapon and sfar there, it was like a family re-union for me... hopefully you'll get a chance to check us out again., when we're feeling our set and have more energy.. thanks for the kind words.. |
