Swedish legends DISSECTION will be performing at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York City on July 7th. According to the venue's web site, it will be the band's only East Coast appearance.

HOLY FUCK! This is something I'd shell out cash for. But I coulda sworn Jon has denounced the old material..

i'd go if they played old shit. i heard the new shit sucks but i haven't heard it.

That single they did was pretty weak but some of the newer material sounds good.

the new shit does indeed suck and sounds nothing like old dissection whatsoever

If memory serves, they played mostly older stuff when I saw them this summer, but it sounded like complete ass.

I miss The Somberlain now. The prison experience seems to have softened Jon up a little. I can hear some Opeth, Rotting Christ, and In Flames in there, but not much Dissection.

some of the riffs in the first sample are decent and feel a bit like dissection but overall, the song doesn't have all the elements that made old dissection great. the second sample is decent but sounds like a filler song for a newer hypocrisy album, definitely not a dissection track. There's nothing evil about these songs.

NOTHING!!! Isnt Jon supposed to be involved in the most evil of evil grim necro satanic cults in all the cosmos? I forget what its called. You sure wouldnt know it from the music hes writing these days.
Besides old Dissection wasnt really "evil" sounding anyways it was just kickass. This crap isnt unfortunately. I thought he was gonna get out of prison and show us all how its supposed to be done again but he failed miserably. Hes probably gonna tour with Avenged Sevenfold.
