After much thought and deliberation with the wife, we decided to leave this state for hopefully greener pastures (or something like that). Knoxville, TN is definetly not where I thought I would be at any point in my life, so rather than becoming "content" with living here we are leaving and going to Morehead City (yeah laugh it up), NC. My wife's sister lives there and we went out there for Xmas and liked it alot better than TN. It's alot like Cape Cod so it has that feeling of almost being home but not really. supposedly there's better music close by too, living in an area where there is no metal is killin me. Anyway... I'll be going offline for a week or two in a couple days. Hope all is well with you mofo's in NE, even in the snow.

It's kinda funny, that snow stuff. They never get it here in TN but the past few days it has snowed constantly but there is little to no accumulatioin whatsoever. The people here drive slow as hell on the highway and don't know how to drive on side streets, and there is no snow on the roads cause they are to warm. At least in NE people aren't scared to drive in a little snow, hell we drove in the Blizzard last year and you guys are driving in it this year. The TN people would not survive 20 minutes in a NE snowstorm... Oh and alot of people down here, specially the old timers, still call us Yankees and think the war is still on... bahaha! I got to get outta here!!!

go to Nashville before you leave!!! IF you haven't already visited..wow...nicest people i've ever met in that fun city!

toggletoggle post by Nate   at Feb 13,2006 12:10pm
we plan on coming back at some point. They have a good zoo that we checked out and my daughter didn't get a chance, so we'll be back to bring her. Haven't seen Nashville but will before we leave, we planned on it.

the poeple are nice here too, for the most part. Rather than have in your face drama like back home, people just talk junk behind yoour back down here, with a smile on their face the whole time.

cool!
oh and I'm going to be in Charlotte NC at the end of June at the Ballantyne Resort (for work) but i have no idea how far that will be from you

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Feb 13,2006 12:25pm
my "cool!" comment was directed towards the fact that you'll be visiting nashville btw...heh

toggletoggle post by Nate   at Feb 13,2006 12:27pm
Charlotte is couple hours from Morehead City I think.

seems like if you are looking for a place like the cape, there is one place that is really really like the cape..

toggletoggle post by not a coincidenc at Feb 13,2006 1:39pm
where

toggletoggle post by Nate   at Feb 13,2006 3:09pm
true Rev, but that Cape is way to expensive to live, hence the reason we left!!

good luck nate; my experiences in NC were nothing but awesome, so hopefully you have the same. i think NC is the only other state i can picture myself living in besides massachusetts. nicest people ever, but they have no clue how to give directions even to their own house, haha
