I loved this band back in the day. Especially this album. Vox like Overkill with music being technical and vey melodic, reminded me of Maiden gone thrash.

anyway my friend told me he recently won an auction on this CD for $40 (wow) and was disappointed that he got a bootleg version. The insert is blurry and printed on sub-par paper. CD its self has a silkscreen image of the cover but peels right off. He took a blade to it and scraped off the image to reveal a Verbatim CD-R. I guess the guy is refunding his money and letting him keep the darn thing for free. No idea what his ID is but please people, becareful! I guess there are a ton of these "bootleg" versions going around the 'net and people are spending $40+ on this album. Yeah its a great album and if you are a collector ok $40 is reasonable but damn man, you should get the real deal.

i've heard that the seller FLEXTEAM2003 got a bunch of ultra rare thrash CDs and is selling them. but i "heard" they are not the real deal. i mean no fault of the seller but there are people who are "re-pressing" if you will bands like Acid Reign, Artillery, Defiance, etc... and selling them for $40+ on the bay. They are also having their own "crew" bid on the CD to jack the prices up so... if possible avoid eBay for ultra rare shit. because there are scams going on constantly. My friend got scammed with an Acid Reign CD so... i say we all put this rare shit on P2P for everyone.

i tried looking on Limewire last night for Acid Reign "Obnoxious" and found only 2 songs. That guy really wished he was James Hetfield huh. I like their rendition of "Hangin' By the Telephone" originally done by Blondie! I found that song also. As for Artillery I don't see it up on Limewire.

Flexteam2003 has some good positive feedback but I notice he never puts up "real" pics of the cds. Just images of the artwork. That's an indication right there that either a) ok he's too busy to be taking pics of each cd he has b) hiding something. And if Artillery's By Inheritence is so "rare" why does he have so many copies? Seems like when the auction is over he has another up for auction. hmmmmm

that FLexteam2003 seller has a lot of rare stuff but you have to read that its a "factory pressed" cd so I think it covers him because the bootleg cds are technically factory pressed. they are just not the "real deal" from back in the day. I got the Acid Reign Obnoxious CD thinking I was getting a used "real deal" but i got a bootleg. Inserts were very blurry, printed on sub-par paper, CD has a silkscreen image of the cover art, etc... No barcode encoded on the underside of the CD except for it being laser engraved "Acid Reign 2002". I've never tried to peel off the silkscreen but maybe I will. I bet its a CD-R. Bitrate for the CD is 192kbps, that's not CD quality. I bought this cd for only $8 so I'm not mad. But man if I spent $40 on a "bootleg" cd i think i would find the guy and knock him!

well first off I didn't think Acid Reign put out anything on CD except for "The Worst of Acid". Most of their stuff was put on recordsLP and Tapes. If its a CD it must be either an import or a bootleg...

flexteam2003 has a lot of cool old stuff but when i contacted two guys that won auctions from him they both told me the cds they got are "bootleg reissues". so buyer be(a)ware. i wouldn't pay more than $20 for a bootleg reissue!
