Watchmaker deserves all the praise they get, they are excellent and one of the most unique local bands, with a clear and concentrated vision, and a great balance of brutality and intelligence.

If you don't get it, you don't get it. Certainly the band is not for everyone. And I'm sure they wouldn't have it any other way.

watchmaker's stage "theatrics" = feedback, beer cans on the stage, and a crazy singer who doesn't blink or close his eyes when he's singing. it's not that bad, trust me!

I just saw pictures of gauntlets and saws and stuff and got a little taken aback considering that they're a grind band...looked more black metal or gore by the pictures. But I picked up the CD on Rev's recommendation and think it's fucking great.

I love how people talk about Watchmaker like its Alice Cooper. Brian wears spiked gauntlets and sometimes sings into a sawblade mic stand. It's called showmanship, look into it.

I don't call that showmanship, it's just props...just not something I'm into...I wasn't calling them overrated for using props, I like them a lot and will look forward to seeing them live.
