hot cross couldn't play and the rumors are that shanghai valentine broke up. so this was a very quick show.
killer fiction: I'd never heard of this band before. they were pretty good. the vocals were a bit thin, but it sounded good none the less.
colin of arabia: they started right off with people punching, jumping, kicking and flying around the place. only 1/2 of this was colin. for anyone that didn't know them, this was the worst possible set to break your COA cherry. this was probably their longest set ever. the songs they played were about 1/2 from the full length and then songs from the new 7". people didn't really know the new songs so they mostly just danced for the two-step parts.
to quote someone immediately after watching thier set to night "scariest guy ever"
modern life is war: my second time in a week catching these dudes. their set was the same one that they played down in RI. I would be hard pressed to make a good description of their music. they are posi yet depressing. post hardcore, out old school punk. the music is incredibly catchy and people are always on the stage, in their faces, pushing people (including the singer) down into the crowd. I guess they played one song that wasn't off the CD. I think it was clarity.
panic: ok, it's beeing 3 1/2 years since I saw them for the first and last time. since then, I've been waiting to see them again. this set was pretty good. I would rate it a 8.5, but just cause I was so looking forward to them. they played a bunch of new songs that sounded good, but no one knew them. I can't say they stole the show like the they ended so shortly. I wouldy did at the B2Sjam, but they were still very good. They should have played another 2 or 3 songs, but they just stopped and walked off the stage. that sort of sucked... anyhow, now I have to see panic and converge playing a show at the ICC. now that would rule.
I'd like to hear panic, I'm a huge fan of the Trouble. I couldn't help but notice Bridge 9 re-released "Nobody Laughs Anymore" a defining moment in adolescent pain.

-mliw played a few old songs, not just clarity. i remember at least by the sea and first and ellen.
-colin is, in my opinion, the best frontman in hardcore.
-i really like the trouble too.
