AWESOME! but whatever happened to morgion? |
Yeah, What happened to Morgion? Inquiring minds want to know. |
actually, the guitarist gary just wasn't into it anymore, and i believe he started the band. so when he quit the remaining guys (rhett and Justin) decided to keep going with a new name not tied in with gary.
the new stuff is awesome indeed! very epic

I'll chime in on an old thread, as the above is not correct at all. No ill will intended Dan-o...
I quit for other reasons, and nothing on the internet is correct or close to it. Additionally, I did not found Morgion; I did not join the band until late '96 or '97. Founding member Dwayne Boardman and I left Morgion shortly after the last album was released due to managerial and creative differences...I'll vaguely leave it at that. And no, Dark Symphonies was not a factor, they were (and still are) great guys to deal with (for those who read negative stuff about D.S.). No parting Morgion statement was made at the time, and one really isn't needed now. Beyond yesterday's news...
Keen of the Crow is not an ongoing Morgion with a new name. Musically, it is a completely new band with a different direction that has founding Morgion member Rhett Davis and the new Morgion bass player Justin Christian. That's about as far as the association goes. I've helped them out with a couple pinches, but the '80s thrash/black metal thing is not my cup of tea. They should do well if they play the cards right and reach the right audience.
This was supposed to be a short post; oh well... Cheers. |

Dan your thread need one of these...

Not sure who the annonymous poster is. Hmm, so I guess I may have been mis informed. Though, I was just kinda repeating what was vaguly explained to me. For the record, I was not speaking literally about them continuing on with a new name. I was just implying that they kept the torch lit so to speak as far as jamming together. I did however know that justin was second to jeremy. But honestly, I think Justin is twice the bassist (no offence) I jammed with him, and must say he is one of the best bassists that I know. As for Dwane being the founder, That I did have wrong, sorry bout that man. |
Aye, Justin is four times the player...no offense needed, as it is factual, ha. It's all good... I was just (hopefully) clarifying the information and adding answers to other questions I see every once in a while...no worries at all. Last clarification; Morgion was founded by Boardman/Davis/Peto. |
no shit huh? that's cool man, and thanks for the info.
so are you still jamming? if so, i would be very inrterested!
Great band, amazing guys. Here's to hoping they come back to this area in support of the new album. |
Ha, always jamming mate
Didn't intend to hijack the KOTC thread... back to the top! |
ha ha ha!
yeah they rock, and the new album will not disapoint! |
