How many of those kids were actually killed/maimed by American Troops? Isurgents? How many less people were killed because we invaded? Based on UN numbers, because we invaded, the Iraqi death rate dropped to a point where by now 50,000 less people have died. War sucks, but the idea that if it isn't perfect it's useless is pretty naive.

I was expecting a "hot" comment.

Well, maybe I meant it literally.

Over 100,000 Iraqi civilians dead and still counting..what have they ever done to us? nothing. For shits and giggles you can also look up how many died as a result of the U.S./Britian and several other European countries helping Saddam into power and giving him weapons...and how many died later because of sanctions. What aren't all the assholes in our government who supported Saddam over the last 25 years also on trial?

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Dec 22,2005 2:22pm
You know, it's not very metal to have such strong feelings.

You do realize that the 100,000 civilians toll is based off the fact that it's between 8,000 and 198,000? That's the range of numbers that the survey created where the 100,000 comes from. It's not accurate at all. the 26,000 number is waaaaaaay closer.

pat, i actually agree with you here. my thing though is that i don't support any war for any reason ever*. no matter what side you're on, most of the people that die are innocent (and i'm including soldiers here), and the people who are responsible (presidents/dictaors/whatever, commanders, generals) are lauded as heroes.

*aside from simultaneous global holcaust of course.

Humanity had a pretty shitty run - I'd say it's time something come along and end it promptly. We shouldn't be offered the dignity of doing ourselves in

Welcome to war, hippies. Instead of sitting here and whining about war, try being one of the troops that see that shit 1st hand. War sucks no matter how you cut the cards, and no American enjoys causing that kind of pain to children. It happens, get used to it. There will always be innocent casualties. There always has been, since the beginning of time. Too bad the liberal media doesn't publish the pictures of the gassed and dead that Saddam was responsible for. Instead they publish whatever they think could defame their President and Commander in Chief. It's a sick world that we live in.

i just cranked Insults "i wanna be a burn victim"
War! What is it good for! Burning flesh and suffering! Say it again! WAR!

We rule, we are the best, we are the ultimate superpower and some people feel guilty about it. Tough shit. If we listened to the liberals we'd be so fucked right now.

Actually, after doing further research, maybe i was wrong. Here's a video of US freedom being spread through out Iraq. They are doing a good job of rebuilding and making things stable over there.

Do you honestly think that, in general, the 'liberal' media isn't on the side of the government? Who owns and controls nearly all media outlets (and certainly all mainstream ones)? Not liberal activists, that's for sure.

Its funny how people look down on such groups as cannibal corpse's lyrics while real live murder goes on everyday, war is never the answer, even after annilating a certain group of people, problems never cease. You can never kill off a certain group, and for those who think this certain war wasnt in vain,I ask you where the fuck is Osama?

When asking the question, the person said "including civilians, insurgents, military, and police." While it's sad that police and military iraqis have died, those are the people expected to fight the insurgents.

ITS CALLED COLLATERAL DAMAGE.
WHO's SIDE ARE YOU ON?

Dead babies suck, but in military terms, it is called colateral damage
Is it American sharpshooters? American laser guided precision bombs?
or the fucking rag head car bombers?

I Blame the car bombers

I thought this one was because the kid has a red afro, which sucks for him in that he'll never get any pussy but isn't related to the war. Then I saw the body below him.

if you notice, i never said "look at these kids killed by americans." i said it's the cost of war. i don't know which "side" they were killed by, and i don't care. my point in this post is that war sucks, always, for everyone. it's never a solution.
i know it's called collateral damage, and i know it happens in times of war. but i think that would be a little harder to accept if there were ever another war on our turf. these kids are people's children, and they certainly haven't done anything to deserve this. i don't know if any of you guys have kids, but i don't think you would find any solace in saying, "ah well it sucks, but you know, it's collateral damage."
