less than 2 weeks away, who is coming? |

hmm anyone from MA going down? Can I get a lift?
my horoscope (believe it or not) said I should go to this |
if you can get a ride down, I could probably give you a ride back.
I come up through boston. |

I come up through boston. |
awesome! that's half the battle.
I'd take the bus but I gotta figure out how I'm paying for this as it is, and the bus is like $15.
OH INFERNAL PLANETS ALIGNING AS YOU DO!!!
where do you live again?
maybe you can t to some place that I can pick you up.
I'm probably taking 95 down and 93 back. |
I live right off of Rte 2 which connects to 95 via 29A I think it is?
I also live off of 16 and 60 which come off of 93
I can take the T to wherever, I don't mind.
If you take 95 to Rte 2 you are only on 2 for like 2 or 3 exits before you hit my house, then we can jump back on again. 15 minute deviation |
hey im not sure if craig from atnfac is coming, but he lives near boston, you could ask him |
he has practice tonight, Bri-Guy already asked him. Thanks though |
ahh, ok, havent heard from that bastard in a week, wasnt sure
someone give him a ride! |
here's another suggestion...maybe matt can guest Nick and if need be Nick could bus it down (the guesting would make the bus less painful financially)...then you've got the ride back from Aaron. |
nick, if you live right of 95-ish.. I might drive down there |
that could work too. that makes sense.
I gotta shower and stuff but I got some time to figure this out
my email is fireandjail@yahoo.com if anyone reading this but not posting has any suggestions or knows more info on the bus that goes down there
thanks! |
yeah, we can guest you man, i think we get 3 people, we have aaron on, and we can put you on if you are def coming |
awesome!
if departed can guest list me AND I get a ride I'll return the favor somehow. Any suggestions? want me to bring pizza or something? |
reach arounds and blueberry monster drinks is the way I love to get paid. |
haha nah man, its totally fine, we'd rather have new faces there for free, than the same friends getting in for free. we'll make those bastards pay!
rock n' roll
just let me know before like 4 or 5 tonight so i can guestlist you |
bump, nick are you coming? |
he's not around. I have no clue. |
he IMed me, but i havent been home all day.
if anyone can get in touch with him and ask him if he is def coming or not, thatd be great.
so we can gl him |
I apparently will be talking to mister cigarettes soon, I'll come bearing messages of truth. |
hey aaron! is it cool to give me a ride? I can give you food or buy you on Odwalla for your trouble.
Departed - if aaron can do it I'll def take the gl spot
gimme like a few mins to find out |
yes, I'll give you a ride.
how many minutes off 95 are you? |
awesome, i talked to brian and he said you are coming, ill add you on once i get there. see you soon. aaron we will be there at about 7-730
4th band is about to go on..
not sure if #12 is right after that or not. I want to eat some veggie burgers at BKs and get stuck home tomorrow cause of the storm! |

miles between, the: I walked in while they were playing. the last time I saw them was not so long ago at the palladium. they sounded good. I didn't hear the mastered track from the demo that I got. a few of the vocals didn't gel with me. they sounded at bit to pantra-ish, but over all it sounded good.
it was the best of times: this was an indie band placed on the bill. the first song sounded a lot like no doubt. after than it changed to not straight no doubt worship. some of the instrumental parts were much better than the non-instrumental parts.
departed, the: they were the band with the best sound of the night. their set was just a straight punchy wall. basically, there was not a pause in their onslaught of music the entire set. also, they had banged almost non-stop.
verbana darvell: this was their CD release party. some of the time they sounded indie, other times like read yellow, other times like norma jean. I thought that there were parts that sounded like nation of ulysses or arab on radar. they had a violinist who joined them on stage for the parts that she played. halfthe time, the violin didn't go with the music at all. it was distracting. the stage was filled with smoke for most of their set.
number twelve looks like you, the: I guess the drummer was new. he only knew the newer songs and didn't have a clue when it came to the old CD. they only played one song off that and then couldn't do an encore cause they need to teach the drummer more songs. |

I thought the drummer actually did pretty well, and he seemed to be enjoying it. Not that it was much more than one, but they had a few old ones in there. By the next time they come around, they should sound as awesome as last time they were in Providence.
The set list had
Devil's Dick Disaster
Texas Dolly
Don't Get Blood on My Prada Shoes
Jesus and Tori
Civeta Dei
Like a Cat
Clarissa Explains Cuntainment
May have been more, maybe not. Nonetheless, I had a decent time.
yes he did play well. but I wanted blue dress and a few others |
he did do a good job, also wished that had played some of their older stuff. i talked to their bassist, i guess they will be back this way, either providence, or boston in March.

pretty well put about the violin. Seemed pretty unecessary and even gimmicky. The music was good aside from that thought for some reason it lacked something for me. The violinisit seemed nice so i feel bad saying that but I'm discussing the music they wrote and arranged and not who they are as people, ya know? |
mmm...I thought they came off okay live...but I must say that listening to the mp3s, I'm in agreement |
i wish we had merch to sell, damn being broke.
