Dead To Fall Enter Studio to Record New Album - Plan Tour With Ion Dissonance

Dead To Fall are heading to Trax East to begin recording the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2004 album “Villainy and Virtue” with producer Eric Rachel. Rachel rejoins the band for round two – their previous collaboration was described in Revolver as, "Full of slab-like guitars and raging vocal growls, this brutish metalcore album will reach out of your speakers, beat you down, and steal your wallet." The great Paul Romano (Mastodon, Godflesh) returns to artwork for the cover – his images for “Villainy and Virtue” were some of the most striking to appear that year, and the band is eager to work with him again. The tentative title for the album is “Death and Rebirth” and singer Jon Hunt has said that it has a lot more classic metal elements than any previous Dead To Fall recordings. Expect the album in April 2006, and don’t miss Dead To Fall on tour in January 2006 with Ion Dissonance, where new songs from the album will be performed! Dates will be confirming shortly.

this band desperately wants to be accepted by "true metalheads"

it's fun stuff, regardless.

the weird thing is that that is happening. when they opened that metal show at the palladium, people gave them an aesome response.

nice, dead to fall is sweet, as typical as their metalcore may be...they do it well and for some reason it stands apart from the rest in my eyes...better breakdowns definitely...haha.

if metalheads don't know that they're supposed to be elitists and not like this band, you can't deny the heaviness and how classic some of the riffs are. I'm glad it's finally working out for them. I remember being at a Met Cafe show where people flat out refused to get them...it was a big death metal show, vehemence, decapitated, incantation, et al.
