I figured I'd finally make an official thread for this since things are confirmed with the Middle East and the show is up on the website.
Here's the deal. It's upstairs right now, if it sells out before a show is booked downstairs, we'll move it down. If you want to see it downstairs, which I think we all do, buy tickets early!
There will hopefully be 3 openers (hence the high ticket price), but nothing is confirmed so ignore for the moment the fact that the venue has Blind Idiot God as support (but how fucking awesome would that be!)
That's what I'm talking about. If I had transporation and still lived the swingin' single life I would head out to the CT show. Everyone else should pull double duty for me!

They might not have put the show up on ticketmaster yet (i kind of hope they don't so people don't get raped on the fees), so right now the only way is from the box office.
I'll be putting up some clips from the new record on my website tonight for people to check out, or head over to Manic's page (http://manicproductions.org ) if you want to see an actually functional website.
I don't think any show should ever be over $10, so it sucks that this one has to be has to avoid total financial disaster, but that's the way it goes I suppose.

and can i bring in a chair? im completely serious. like i loved khanate, but standing up to taht stuff is a bit exhausting...i just wanna get baked and sit back and enjoy!

I'd pay over $30 per ticket to see Ocean and Sunn 0))) on the same night, so the ticket price is no problem.

Sorry if I didn't get back to everyone who inquired about playing.
The Middle East wanted to put this show upstairs first, and then move them downstairs if it sells out before a show is booked there. I think it will sell out upstairs eventually, but if everyone gets their tickets early we can move it. Unfortunately, if you don't live in Boston and can't got to the box office, that means using ticketmaster, which is pretty fucking lame.
I heard we had sold almost a hundred, but I went to the box office last night before Earth and it was a whopping ten, so there is still a ways to go.

I didn't even think Blind Idiot God was still around anymore, if for some reason that turned out to be true, that would be awesome.
I didn't think they were either, but their drummer is in Khanate (or was recently), so if they were going to reform and play with anyone, Sunn would be the band.
who the fuck is blind idiot god i have never heard of them. i haven't heard of nachtmystium before this show either ahhaha

Yep, it's still Ocean and Nachtmystium. Blind Idiot God was a defunct 80's/90's art rock band that was originally going to reform and open this tour, which would have been pretty awesome as they kick total ass. The venue did whatever they have to do with Ticketmaster before the lineup changed, which is why the tickets are printed incorrectly.
yeah i guess i'll try to do the same... what are you wearing maybe we can meet up A/S/L?
the problem for me is that i have to take the train into boston and then get over to fuckstreet to go to cambridge... so it will take me like two hours each way getting there and back...

Yeah, Ocean should definitely think about being a 5-piece permanently, fucking awesome! Nachtmystium was great too, despite the overwhelming lameness of the crowd. Sunn was Sunn, and my ear plugs didn't do a damn thing. The rumblings in the club were such that it worked the light controls out of the mixing board in the back, which was what caused the light flickering about half way through. Good times all around!
fuck. fuck this was a show I would've hated hearing about after not going. when Blake (Nachtmystium) invited the heckler onstage, I kind of laughed a little "'at shut 'er up"

Hail Xasthur! Malefic is the shit. I arrived at 7:30 only to realize the show was sold out (I drove from NH) so with great dissapointment I sat and ate. My firend approached one of the guys from Sunn and asked if he could buy a shirt or CD so we could get back to NH. He then got us in free on the Sunn guestlist. What an experience. I've never heard anything so obscenely, yet pleasantly loud. It was unexplainable. What a crazy show.

Mike, Neil (Krieg) got me in. He plays session for Nachtmystium...you should have rolled with me. I was going to call you but my cell is currently f'd.
Cool show, I missed OCEAN unfortunately, but surely there will be more opportunities to catch that. NACHTMYSTIUM was killer, they sounded excellent on that stage, even though I was off to the sides during most of their set. SUNN was definitely a unique and overwhelmingly heavy experience, the full aesthetic package was really dark as hell.

i'm officially feeling SUNOOO)))))))))) burnout. and btw, they're fucking boring. yeah that's right. i said it.
i didn't take many pics during sunno))). just didn't seem like the thing to do. besides, Stephen O said if I could avoid using flash, they'd appreciate it. and you know how dark it was...all these fuckin morons (1 "pro" I think and a ton of 1 oz. digi-toting amateurs) popping flashes every 5 secs...I probably would've gotten away with it but especially where I was told to avoid it, I respected that.

i yelled at the heckler bc nachtmystium are our guest here in boston and i thought that person was being a asshole and it was in no way being sarcastic or a friendly jest.
there were a lot of hipsters there since the local "alternative" papers hyped up the show.
i want more black metal to come back to boston and the guys in nachtmystium and crew were good people, so i grabbed the mic and told the douche bag to shut the fuck up and if he has any real balls to come up on stage and say it on the mic faggot!
the heckling stopped.
What's ridiculous is that "fuck logging in" got cryogenically frozen for two years. For two years. I mean, who gets frozen for two years? Captain America was down for a good twenty years. Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer was just a caveman, he fell on some ice and was later thawed by some of our scientists. But two years? That's just lame.
