After about 5 years as Cryptic Warning, the members of the band have decided to bring the project to an end. The Cryptic Warning name and the songs on our full-length 'Sanity's Aberration' are being laid to rest.
Our final show as Cryptic Warning will be on November 18th, it is also Deathamphetamine's CD release show. Hope to see you there! Here are the details:
Friday November 18 @ The Compound (281 Lunenburg St., Fitchburg, MA)
The Accursed
Smite the Righteous
Cryptic Warning
Deathamphetamine
Blackout Frenzy
Coffin Birth
18 + : 8PM : $5
In related news, all three members of Cryptic Warning have already been hard at work on their next project - which is an extension of what Cryptic Warning was all about. The project is yet unnamed, but features all members of Cryptic Warning plus John Farley of Abhorred will be the new vocalist. Much new material has been written, and is a step-up from the Cryptic Warning material in intensity, technicality and songwriting.
Expect a three-song demo and live performances in early 2006.

Anthony since CW won't be around anymore are you, evan, and that shitty Micktalian kid going to put any focus into Strappado?
I'd like to see Strappado sortof take off. |

I love the Strappado project and hopefully we will get the full length done sometime in 2006. It is tought though because although the CW name is ending, this new project is already going full force and is just as much of as a commitment as CW, plus Evan and Mark have Terminally, and Darren has all his projects.
I'm confident the Strappado record will get done someday, hopefully sooner than later.

thanks to everyone for their support! don't worry, the new project will more then make up for the loss of Cryptic Warning. John is a sick vocalist and it is great to have him in the band. |
|
you guys will always be one of my favorite thrash bands. |
|
sad to see another band go, but damn i cant wait to hear the new shit! |
|
I just don't get it. What a shame. Does this mean Abhorred is breaking up too? |

ABSOLUTELY NOT. |
|
just a quck update: Since John is no longer singing for us and we are currently on the search for a new vocalist, we see no reason to stop playing shows as Cryptic Warning in the interim until the new lineup is solidified.
So if you'd like to see us play, and have a show you think we'd fit on, please send me an email, thanks.
