New site? Maybe some day.
so i just bought in the past week an ace frehley les paul, and today i layed away a mockingbird. i also got a smokey amp and i think im gonna go out and get some pedals to screw around with for a bit. i love getting new shit, but i do it too often and it makes me broke. but i cant help it. oh man, i love guitars. |
whoa.
uh.... epiphone and nj? or real deal? |
damn...I've been floundering over selling my mockingbird
neck-thru construction, floyd rose trem, dimarzio evolution pickups, yadda yadda yadda, transparent-red finish...got some electronic disasters though
but I don't know...if I ever decide I like floyd roses I could just fix it up and junk
blue, what's with buying super heavy guitars?
oh yeah, my mockingbird is of the nj-neckthru series
don't get too excited |
never try guitars out of your price range, because you end up only wanting them.
I just got the GIGER LTD IBANEZ, I got to try one in NYC and it was really nice. I also got to try the new Mirror JEM and I want that too. Steve Vai is probably the luckiest guy ever.
the back cavity cover that looks like tape is actually this minus the text, it's rad!:
i got the epi. its not super heavy, unlike the gibbo. but it is loaded with 3 dimarzio super distortions. and the mockingbird is an nj. its the trans blue finish & floyded for 350. i couldnt pass it up. im gonna get a rio grande barbecue humbucker in it too. |

we got one in at work a little while ago. it plays nice. the neck is almost too thin for my tastes, if thats possible. |
blue, I'm telling you...the weight distribution of the mockingbird is horrrrrrible...the headstock is somehow heavier...making for an awkward time
but then again I used to love it (my friggin aim name is mockingbri only for that) and I couldn't imagine that becoming your main axe...it's badass looking though. |
the one i was playing wasnt distributed gorrible at all. i was digging it a lot.
i just need more guitars. there was a time where i owned 8 guitars/basses/acoustics, a couple of combos, 30+ pedals, a halfstack and more. i miss those days. |
you don't have a band... what are you buying shit for? |

I'm with you there, I've tried one and immediately noticed the same problem...well not a problem for everyone but for me it felt awkward.
fair enough...I wonder why my guitar had such a weight distribution curse
just for the hell of it, I'll ask what are you doing post-Kubrick? or is that on the "dl"? |

now that he doesn't have a band, he probably has money to spend. am I right or am I right? hahaahahaa jk. |
ouch, thats harsh. just give me 2-3 months, youll be sorry.
if youre curious to know what im doing, just im me. |
so you DO have a scheme...I see |
knowing blue, the plan goes something like.. this!
By the way, I'm still waiting for the loan check, but it should be in within a week or 2 |
Congratulations on the new gear
I live for new gear, always trading something towards something.
I got this about two months ago
Heavy guitars rule. You won't be sorry. I've been playing a Paul for 11 years, and other guitars just feel like toys now. |
got that a couple of months ago
thing is fucking mean

awesome, I think I saw that but wasn't sure if it was yours. good investment! |
i just bought one of these....
it's fucking awesome. don't let the looks fool you, it's exactly the same as the SG standard minus the silver pickup plates, the finish, inlays and decal on the head stock. same mahogany and construction, same pickups and electronics....
i like the natural wood finish much better anyways. and the price is drastically lower without all those needless frills. |
I just got a whole caseful of these......

try a little less output, youd be suprised. a tb-6 duncan distortion trembucker i think would be a great choice as well. |

MOREEEEEE OUTPUT!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHA
Although I do want a change from EMG's I still want a lot of output. I've heard a lot of people compare the X2N saying it's basically a passive emg. I'll probably try it and if I hate it I'll put something else in it. I dunno. |
I will actually be selling my m-1000 today. I bought a Fender Standard Telecaster yesterday. |
