If you would regard yourself as a "metalcore guitarist", do us all a favor and JUST STOP. I'll personally give you $100 for your gear. Do something otherwise counterproductive. Mediocrity must not be encouraged. Sorry, just being honest.

haha...I've been calling them metalcore for awhile (and I like them)...simply because they combine elements of all kinds of metal and hardcore (it's not a dirty word for me)...I'm sure my band is a metalcore band

but yeah, this guy's influences are a lot of the "dirty word" bands, I suppose

well, id prefer a thrash band... metal is my true love, im located near Brockton, MA and I have professional equipment, metal core is just the term i use to attract all players of all styles, Id prefer Metal, Thrash or Black.

there's already a progressive death/opeth-ish kind of band around called dreaded silence. the silence should change their name. that word is so overused in band names these days.
