i haven't used a mac regularly in 8 years and just got a brand new one...i'm trying to install windows media player for mac on here and it's not working. the file name is "windows_media.sitx." any idea if there's a different file type that will easily install on a mac...or is there a certain program i should use and/or download to get the file to install? any suggestions would be appreciated

www.apple.com

or any mac store; you can search for one on the site

just make sure that if you order one online to find the 'back to school' section or whatever says anything about student discounts. the free iPod mini deal only lasts until the 24th i think.

Good choice my friend. Although I use a 15" Powerbook that I just bought the other day. Before that I had a 12" iBook G4 from like two years ago and an old iMac G3.

My desktop is a 20" iMac G5 that I also got just a few months ago. I went Mac crazy, you will be happy!

thats a retarded amount of money to spend on a computer.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Sep 6,2005 11:41am
nah, you get what you pay for! Macs have always been expensive from the day they released the Apple IIE. They design, create, assemble the hardware and they do the software. Come on, Macs look a lot better than a DELL box. I'd love to get a Powerbook 15" but I don't have no $2000 to drop. My GF owns an iMac G5 and paid a pretty penny for it but i must say its the best computer I've used. I have an HP desktop and the thing sucks. i'm so sick of spyware...

I would only like a mac if they would put 2 buttons on the keyboard (laptops) and then put a cranking G5 mobile in a titanium case with a 12.1" xsvga screan.
mac laptop's have the worst screens ever.

for a while i fucking hated macs until the G4 processor came out. first time i used a g4 i was skeptical but it was fucking fast as hell, did everything i wanted it to and was easy to use. first time i used a g5 power pc i almost shit myself, it was awesome. i go to school for art and am heavily involved in music, so mac's are the way to go for quality work in my field(s). i would have gotten a powerbook if i had the money, the iBook gets the job done well

i paid 500 bucks for my computer, a year ago, shit works perfect.

toggletoggle post by mark fucking richards at Sep 6,2005 2:29pm
haha, what did you get??

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Sep 6,2005 2:38pm
custom built, through tiger direct

toggletoggle post by mark fucking richards at Sep 6,2005 3:27pm
i've never heard of tiger direct, but if it was custom built that's pretty damn pissah.
