New site? Maybe some day.
I'm on track five and it's pretty ehhh. This reminds me more of stuff they probably wanted to do back in the Prayer for Cleansing days. At least he doesn't clean sing like a faggot anymore.
-king of shabby hair, flip-flips, diesel jeans until i take my fashion lessons from Ray Romano crossed with a character from Antz |
i miss the deathy element, but so far I'm diggin it. a bit too dream theatre-esque in some parts thou. |
i agree BTBAM: MORE DEATH! |
if you like btbam you more than likely also like louie anderson's fat penis shoved in your mouth. shut up. |

That was really dumb |
wow, is this lambgoat? anonymous, go home |
wow... this CD is sofucking good. |
it's catching on me. i don't like what they did with the track alaska. and adding that "it's raining" part. |
i'm going to toss it in again in a minute (let the gay jokes start).
I'm also going to write a rare review about it. |
do you know the release date for this? |
i'll probably still pick it up. silent circus had to grow on me... it took months. i guess the same will happen with this cd. |
I just picked it up yesterday. And fuckin BALLS this album is good. I like the title track, and I can not for the life of me stop listening to Selkies: the Endless Obsession, track 4. I've had the guitar lead that starts the fade out stuck in my head since I heard it. Completely pissed I missed the BDM show with them now. |
eh not really digging it but ive barely listened to it |
had this for a couple weeks now. its much better than the silent circus (which was junk imo). but they replaced all the death metal with power metal. thats great and all, but i miss the dm influence. not to mention the clean parts on this cd definetly do suck. oh well, ill go listen to the self titled if i want to listen to a masterpiece. |
it's not metalcore, it's opethcore or rhapsodycore |
how long has this band been power metal licks? |
there are a few power metal riffs on the self-titled LP...that was 2002 or 2003 I think...but that disappeared with the second album...now this most recent album has tons of power metal influence in it |
they are an ok band but i just don't like the fact they smash up all these riffs. that's not good song writing, they are overdoin it with the riffs. a little too chaotic. but i admit they have some talent. |
I heard this finally today. I don't know what to make of it. One song is carnival music then we go to a guttural death metal song into a clean vocal hardcore song then into what could be an opeth cover song without being an opeth song. I like it but don't get it.
their first album is by far the best, silent circus was alright, i couldnt stand mark, the drummer. be a little more creative in the drum department, blast beats and double bass are nice and all, but give it a rest. alaska is an amazing cd, and for the guy with the too many riffs comment... its a lot harder to incorporate 15 riffs into a song and make it work, theres more to metal than repeating a riff four times and moving on... anyway, amazing band. |
