Pete from Benumb tells me that he filmed a "home town shout out"- type of thing that will air sometime during the All-Star Game. Try and check it out.

Pete's been overseas for some time. This is the last update from Benumb.net and Pete is now in Baghdad. Anyone who knows Pete understands what an awesome and super-supportive individual he is.

"BENÜMB vocalist, Pete Ponitkoff's Army reserve unit was called up for duty. In the meantime BENÜMB has taken a backseat as to what is happening in the light of these current events. Currently, Pete is stationed in Kuwait and his unit will soon be moving to Baghdad within the week, where he'll be until February 2006."

also, the band's split with Premonitions Of War is finally out and their shit RIPS.

I was expecting a bit more out of the POW stuff.
2 covers, 2 originals.
the first POW song rips.

the brnumb stuff is more rocky than old stuff.

yeah, i wasn't disappointed when the POW stuff begins...but the covers, just felt like they were goofing off, doesn't fit the artwork and doesn't compliment the Benumb shit. At least it's not a split where you can't tell the bands apart, though.

on POW, I think the covers are hilarious. they make me laugh the whole time they are playing.
the recording/producting quality of them isn't that good.

on benumb: I need to listen to more of the benumb tracks. the main criticism I have is that the vocals are blazingly too loud.
