even though I was warned to "stick to metal", I'm at another hardcore show. I totally forgot how much fun they were. plus, people actualy show up to hardcore shows.

shoot to kill: funny sound check, they played sabotage. after that they played a super short set. it's hard for them to top that last show (I mean fog machines AND flashing lights? com'on). I think they only played one cover too. usually, there are a lot more people from the audience singing along. they played some song about some dude from a band in PVD, but I have no clue who it was.

hammer bros: by the time they started up the crowd was about 1.5 times the crowd at soilent green. the crowd really got into it which was awesome. a lot of the people were singing along. HB themselves have gotten a lot better. the last time I saw them, it was sort of sloppy and the two last times I saw them, no one cared as much that they were playing. I think their getting to the point where people would actually go to a show just to see them.
also, they played on WERS which was a good set.

have heart: another band that has gotten much much better and tighter. I forget the name of the other guitar player, but I know that he used to film a lot at palladium and the met cafe. I hope this is a prelude to what's to come. the crowd got even more insane. they were attempting to head walk and a lot of people spent their time on top of the crowd. oh and the singer straight cold poked one of the guys from hammer bros in the eye. it was priceless.

cause for alarm: well, I'm always thought of this band as an venerable old band. but I never listen to this CDs... and now I remembre why, I don't like their music. I still respect them and all, but even after seeing it live, it's not for me. they sound like the public image limited of hardcore. the singer is funny to watch cause it looks like he's doing "rawr" tiger motions with his hands and does these silly jumps in the middle of the stage.

harleys war: I don't know why more people didn't come to this show from the board. they basically played all cromags covers. well, not all, but 75%. plus, the songs that he played that weren't cromags tracks, people didn't seem to care about at all. the singer, harley, kept talking about a hardcore hall of fame site (http://www.hardcorehalloffame.com I think) that will have videos fro the show up on it. they played one song that was danzigy drepressing and one pop punk song, but the rest were so familiar. I seriously need to get cromags stuf on cd (or mp3) having it on vinyl means I don't listen to it enough.

murphys law: now what was that? mostly, insanity. it was like spring break on a stage. basically, the whole set was old rock tunes with tons of people power drinking. very interesting to say the least. harley came out at one point and played drums for a track.
