can anyone recommend some? does it exist? About every 9 months I download something from Ulead and remember all over again why I hate them.

ahh. I had version 4 of sony vegas. I don't remember being impressed. I'll download version 5 and see if there's been any changes. I need something that can fuck with DivX

I dunno...Im sure there are plug ins for divx on Vegas......the cool thing about Vegas is, its easy as shit to use, you dont need to be a editing wiz to do it, and its pro quality.
Ive tried Ulead too, and ehh....I like Vegas more.
Plus you can multitrack audio simultaneously with Vegas.....

as far as the lagal version thing, Ive installed plug ins on mine (h4xd) and theyve worked no prob.

the entire industry uses adobe premiere.

I remember trying it and not being able to fuck with divx and not getting plugins to work. Maybe my version was fucked. I'll have to download a new one.

all you need is the DIVX codec installed.
that's how it is with 90% of those editing programs.
I think ULEAD is the same way.
have the codec installed and you can out put to that format.

PS: I just e-mailed you asking for a serial/crack cause astalavista is failing me.

Now I remember why I never used adobe premiere... because all I want to do is accomplish one small task. But in order to do so, I'd have to study 9 hours worth of video editing crap to do it.

forget anything Ulead, they are a piece of shit. get Adobe Premiere.

yeah, I've come to the conclusion that ulead just sucks at creating functional software. I think I'm just going to have to read a book or find some tutorials on adobe premiere. It also doesn't help that the version of premiere I got doesn't have any help files haha

yeah, premiere's got A LOT of stuff with it..
but you can do anything.

ulead stuff is "ok" for what it does.
I mean it's made by morons for morons, but will do simple tasks easily.

Before I read up on this stuff I should probably just ask if anybody knows how to burn 16:9 Xvid videos to DVD-video. All the simple programs like ulead either put black bars on all 4 sides or force it into 4:3
