After Magrudergrind finished up I walked over to Obriens because earlier I saw a kid with a Neurosis shirt loading in equipment. His band was on when we went in and were great. The Universal Monster Series from Worcester, you all should check them out on Aug 6th @ Obriens.

Then the last band played, Hatchet from Beverly MA. They were good death metal, kind of technical in spots, but only one guitarist. They gave me a free T shirt.

A Terrible Night for A Curse had played earlier, but I didn't see them.

weird that we've never hear of them.

Thats what I thought, how could these bands go unnoticed for so long. It must take effort to stay hidden.

They were in the vein of High on Fire, Sleep, Neurosis.

that band hatchet was really good. cmon, two guys in the band were wearing mortician shirts, how could they not be good? the band that played right after us, Mother Boar, was really good.

Yeah, I saw Hatchet at O'Brien's before. Maybe they opened the TITD show? And one of the guys in Mother Boar works with Stephanie Marino.
