So after watching Star wars I was reminded of how much I loved the music from Star wars.

Another Good movie with good MUSIC was Jurassic park. (yes, very dorky)

Lord of the rings had some good shit too.

So, discuss Movie music... If you wish.

The Intro music for Star Wars has always made my heart race when the opening story scrolls across the screen, regardless of the episode number. All the movies have had this effect on me.

i like in episode 2 -when anakin comes out of the hut where his mother just died and he whips out the lightsaber about to tear up some sandpeople ass- that little blurb of music that's going on during that part. also my heart races during the intro music.

Luke's theme (or atleast I think it's Luke's theme.) is my favorite.
The final space ship battle in The return of the Jedi is also good.
The music during the selebration at the end is great and ofcourse Imperial march is a most triumphant song.

I dont really remember the soundtrack but that movie was great. I liked all the NOES movies up until "New Nightmare," which wasnt so good.

And I love that Dokken video, I definitely wasnt saying it detracted from the soundtrack.

The Harder They Come is the only soundtrack I own, on vinyl, since I'm not counting the KIDS single for Folk Implosion.

I like film scores. I've been listening to more and more lately.

The Two Towers.
Batman I.
Children of Dune.
The Omen.

Highly recommended.

The Godfather as well.

I think you're thinking of the music when Luke is watching the sunsets, the somber version of the main theme.

I still haven't seen Episode 3, and as a true Star Wards nerd, I don't really give a fuck. George Lucas has transformed Star Wars from a wonderful, transgenerational space opera into a sugary, watered down, kids sci-fi movie. Further evidence of my Star Wars nerdiness, my best friend and I have been listening to only the Star Wars soundtrack in the car for the past two weeks. Awesome driving music.
