When Jupiter rises at sundown on Sunday, April 3rd, the giant planet
will
be at its closest to Earth all year long. Step outside, face east and
look toward the horizon. To the naked eye, Jupiter resembles a very
bright
star, almost three times brighter than Sirius. Seen through a backyard
telescope, that "star" reveals itself as a full-fledged world with
clouds,
spots and moons.
If you miss Jupiter on April 3rd, don't worry. It will remain close to
