So many bands do songs like that. Where they the original. Because in an Impetigo cd they give credit to somebody else I think.

He was also in Plutocracy

Spazz is the only band I know that use intro and outro samples from other bands.

if only they did a "live" album where they dubbed over slayer.... i think it may be time for a charles bronson thread...

BUMP

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at Dec 24,2006 2:27pm
Hahahaha, awesome thread.

Max Ward was in Plutocracy, Spazz, What Happens Next, Scholastic Deth, and Capitalist Casualties for a time and owns 625 Thrash. "Hey Bob, What's Up?" is a Pillsbury Hardcore cover(one of the many bands that Eric Wood was in). I think their guitarist is doing hip hop now? I like Spazz more than Dropdead personally, actually they're my #1 artist on Last.fm.

This thread still owns.

toggletoggle post by hunterhunter   at Dec 24,2006 3:19pm
spazz/romantic gorilla split is gnarly

toggletoggle post by Dissector   at Dec 24,2006 9:40pm
I like Spazz slightly more than charles Broson. Don't get me wrong, Charles Bronson fucking rules, but Spazz songs are just more memorable and catchy.

How the hell did you pull that off? I can only remember Spazz playing locally once at the Met Cafe.

i try and talk to chris dodge on a regular basis now, not only is he basically my hero, but hes an extremely nice guy, and a good conversationalist.

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at Dec 25,2006 9:12am
I've got that Spazz/Romantic Gorilla split, I think those are some of the best Spazz songs but I don't like RG's half of it. There's a considerable portion of Charles Bronson's stuff I wouldn't consider powerviolence, but I had that discography CD in my car last night cranked. I still think Infest is better than both bands though.

Either way, go listen to East West Blast Test and buy any new 7" you see from 625 Thrash.

toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at Dec 25,2006 11:09am
Yeah Infest is my fav PV band but I've got a lot of love for Spazz... any other recommendations for great PV bands? Keith I'm looking in your direction.

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at Dec 25,2006 11:21am edited Dec 25,2006 11:23am
There was a thread about this not long ago and I'd say at least 50 good bands were named.

If you've got one of those last.fm things, join the group "Powerviolence Crust Grindcore" too, lots of good information there.

Though if you want my quick fix picks right now, go with XbrainiaX, Straight Edge Kegger, No Comply, Capitalist Casualties, No Comment, Soul Swallower, and Scapegoat.

toggletoggle post by jim_is_signed_up_for_an_account at Dec 25,2006 11:57am
I started that thread, and you were right Lamp. There are so many good pv/grind bands i had no idea about, im hooked.
