What is the name of that fuck again who runs the NE metal and hardcore fest? Didn't he screw alot of local bands out of it this year or something? Thanks.....

blahblah, people don't like how he runs things, but whatever. he's a busy man. just think how you would be after 7 years of everyone begging you to just give them a spot on metalfest. there are tons of locals that I want to play metalfest, but I'm not bitching about it.

nobody likes how I run things either, I wouldn't really say he screwed any bands out of playing HIS fest, but I think he likes metalcore too much and he uses his booking powers to force metalcore down everyones throats.

Before anyone says anything about what I book, I do not use big bands to force doom or grind down anyones throats, I have booked and have upcoming shows with slightly bigger bands, but they still are within the same realm of the stuff I normally book anyway.

Scott Lee has metalcore bands open for metal bands regardless of style.

I guess booking is his to do what he wants with it.
If I liked one style more than another, my booking would probably reflect that.

Well Scott Lee is in a unique position over the rest of us, Cephalic Carnage is probably the biggest band I've ever booked, and they are like an opening act on Scott Lee's level.

I like to think if I was in his position I would mix it up more then he does, instead of having All That Remains, or worse The Red Chord or some other obnoxious metalcore band open every show.

A few years ago, it made more sense (now that I look back) because metalcore is obviously what he is into so those bands he would be more familiar with, but as of late there is a real scene formed and growing around New England and finding more appropriate bands that people have heard of would be very easy to do, sure they aren't as popular as All That Remains or the Red Chord, but those bands only are because of Scott Lee.
