Killer show last night. When i showed up i was in a horrible mood, but thanks to rob and ann marie(??) they turned my frown upside down. + with the help of a few beers.
Rob & scott where did you guys go? I thought we were going to bickfords.

throwing shrapnel: personal high gene questions of individual members aside... theirs was a short set. This time, you could hear a lot more of the stuff that they were doing. I don't know if it was more practice time or more better sound equipment at this place then at o'breina. they also a placed more structure into the interludes between the songs and not just random noise. I guess that's what you get from another month.

good show. dee dees is definetly the new block. i gotta say though, its fine to listen to bands, but once you get up there, you can hear crap for crap. a good time regardless. throwing shrapnel was good stuff, but less full stack and more one cab on each side next time. kyles vocals are always great. the nicaea room were a cool band as well, didnt get to grab a cd though. tnc were good as well, but they need to play longer, their set up time is just as long as their set. ttos played great as always, the butcher head sounded good. i though we sucked it up however, my pedalboard was freaking out on me, not to happen again though. |

the nicaea room: can someone say a knife fight romance? I really wanted to yell that out or the name of a song, but I couldn't remember any of them. I have to say that they sounded a lot better live then on the CD.. I definitely think that I am going to have to listen more closely to the CD. Live there was not as much non-screaming singing at all. I still have no idea how to pronounce and say the band name correctly and I'm probably going to continue to say it wrong all in the radio. |

the nightmare continues: Why did they only play like four or so songs at this show? I'm not sure why... it was an excessively short set even for them. good times good times. Reminiscing about the past and shows I saw them at. And trying to get a shot of the band in a picture with Dr. Phil on the TV behind them. Still and they sounded really good but it was a little hard to hear things since they were out in front of everything using the floor and their stage.
The taste of silver: screw you a Nick pointing out way you or the band makes "mistakes: we don't even in notice. Stop being so hard on yourself and just have fun that is what it is all about. A great set and some new tracks. Granted people in the audience were yelling out their hits and they even did two songs for an encore. I got to meet the girl that he played a to pretend she was his girlfriend this night.
Carina was all so so happy about the T-shirt design with her picture on it. I must say, it did look really really a good. I hope with all the bling that TTOS makes on these shirts when they are living it up with converge and blink 182 in their mansions they remember to send a full crate of Nikon camera equipment to Carina Mastrocola c/o aaron pepelis. Major bling-age. At one point during a song I thought that rowan was going to boot again...
Raising Kubrick:, what a short stat from them. They played the about six. But it didn't play much more, especially since they had to take a few minutes when moe blew through the skin on his drums. Of course everyone in in the audience was head banging and screaming along with them as they played. Only parts of that was fueled by alcohol. How much? The world may never know.
Dees Dees lounge is a rather cool place. They have a lot of a bling age TVs on the walls (even plasma TVs which he is major coinage if you follow TVs at all). It made it very interesting, watching all the bands when they're behind their heads is Dr. Phil giving advice to people or whatever was on the all their TV. |
