toggletoggle post by xmikex at Jun 15,2003 12:22pm
speaking as a guy who lives 15 min from that club.....YES put dysentery on that show!!!

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 15,2003 1:38pm
Unfortunately I can't, there isn't enough time for another band with the time allotment...I am always booking shows here and there, I'll hook you guys up again sometime

toggletoggle post by baneofexistence at Jun 15,2003 6:51pm
we just jammed with chris of despoilment today who will be filling in on bass for us at that show

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 15,2003 7:23pm
That's great man, good to see that you guys will have a full lineup

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 16,2003 8:20am
as another guy who lives 15 minutes from stoughton
i think the line up looks fine, no offense to dysntery or anything
i will be there at the show, i will try to bring my posse down with me, dude kid guy west side.

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 16,2003 1:51pm
I will bring my posse also, a collection of Louisville sluggers in case a fight breaks out

toggletoggle post by baneofexistence at Jun 16,2003 2:15pm
i need directions to 49 monk st

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 16,2003 2:32pm
OK cool, I'll send them to you by e-mail

toggletoggle post by Jim H at Jun 16,2003 2:41pm
Hey Terrance, I hooked your band up with a show in VT back in January and you were supposed to return that favor to us but our band broke up. Well, we've got a whole new band now and would like to hook up something down your way sometime. We're in the recording process right now but the site's up (http://assembletheremains.com) so if you want to check it out feel free. Like I said we'd like to get down your way at some point.
Thanks
Jim

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 16,2003 3:54pm
This was the first show I've set up since february, I'm sorry if I can't hook up everybody that wants to play, I'll see what I can do in the future.

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 16,2003 11:48pm
Bump. I know it's cheap advertisement, but still.

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 17,2003 9:39am
I doubt any fights will break out, the bands who are playing, to the best of my knowledge, don't draw shitty people (except me of course, but why would anyone want to fight me?)
Oi!

toggletoggle post by DeOdiumMortis  at Jun 17,2003 7:49pm
I'll fight you Joe, but only during my set, and you have to dress up in a gorilla costume and try to steal the magic banana thats hidden inside my guitar, then we'll fight... Rampage style. Paul Bunyan vs. King Kong. Ooh yeeaahh!

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 17,2003 7:57pm
alright, it's on!

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 17,2003 11:23pm
I think I'll rent a clown for this show, so we can watch him juggle dildos.

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 17,2003 11:25pm
haha!! then i will pay double the regular door fee

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 18,2003 12:13am
AND have him jump on a Pogo stick in the shape of a penis

toggletoggle post by DeOdiumMortis  at Jun 18,2003 1:05am
Mr. T and I have the same hair except he has a little moustache too. He's the ying to my yang... or something. Eat your milk. Stay in sleep. Don't do school. Get your 8 hours of drugs. Work.

49 Monk St. is right off of Route 138 in Stoughton Center, is right next to a Mutual gas station... exit 2A off of interstate 93

toggletoggle post by DeOdiumMortis  at Jun 18,2003 11:15pm
Don't worry Joe, I can still hit you with a crutch whether I need them or not. In fact I have two pair, would you prefer wood or metal? Better yet, I'll bring both, we can joust and duel. \/\/0r|).

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 19,2003 12:26am
The funniest thing about Mr. T, is that he was once caught being given a blow job in his limousine, some kid opened the door on him, he was going to make a public appearance somewhere. That is all.

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 19,2003 9:15am
terrance, you just made my day with that last post

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 20,2003 2:00am
At your service... remember, don't do milk, drink your drugs, work... Mr. T. lives in us all

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 20,2003 10:14pm
WEEEEEEEEE. Tomorrow is the big day, and I want to die

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 21,2003 5:55pm
disengaged
and I can't walk that far

i don't think I am going to make it to this one because all the people who were possibly going to give me a ride disappeared

oh well

great, no boe won't be able to play you jerk!

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 22,2003 12:27am
looks like I was there after all
not a good crowd, which I can't figure out cuz it was promoted well, had good bands and a popular headliner, and was on a saturday night

atleast everyone got a good laugh from when I slapped Jim

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 22,2003 2:25am
the turn out was extremely crappy so the bands really didn't have much energy. If you are reading this and you went, you rock. If not, forget you.

the band formally known as 'veritas': I walked in for the last 2 songs they had. It was just ok. Which sucks cause they were pretty damn good bitter end fest. I guess they are looking for a new name, get ideas to them. http://www.iftomorrowcomes.0catch.com/

upon crimson wings: pretty tight stead, but there wasn't any blood and wasn't much for them to run around in the crowd. They play a bunch of tracks I knew so that was good. I like how the two guitar players play back and forth so that one does rhythm while the other does lead, but they switch up for different songs.

acendancy: their sound is so good, but I can understand someone's comment about the drumming. there were two parts of two songs where the guitars are slow and the drummer is going off playing all over his set, that's probably what that person was talking about. The PA was too loud for their set, I'm hoping that they sound much more stellar through the system at jarrod's tomorrow.

bane of existence: they were sort of missing the energy too. Actually, that is until the last song they played. It rocked and the crowd started rocking too. I was trying to imagine B.O.E. with a second guitar player. I think a rhythm player that fills in behind jim's leads and riff would rock. eh, what do I know.

all that remains: wow, I really wasn't expecting anything, but wow. they played a pretty awesome set, including two new tracks. They also did some encore type thing where they came back and played another track. it was a really good set.

toggletoggle post by DeOdiumMortis  at Jun 22,2003 2:42am
Wow, I look really fucking funny. Sometimes I forget. Thanks Rev for coming down and shooting my ugly ass along with everyone else's. I had three n's worth of funnn. I thought all the other bands played well and sounded really good. I still have no idea how we sound to the crowd, but I liked the acoustics of 49 Monk St., I couldn't hear any annoying reverberation. So more people show up next time metal hits Monk St. so this can become a worthwhile place to have metal shows. Argh metal argh! I want to see Tom's pics now damnit.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 22,2003 2:45am
tom's doing it gay style with TYAG right now.

toggletoggle post by DeOdiumMortis  at Jun 22,2003 2:53am
He needs to not be there, and thus be elsewhere, in a place at which he can present his pictures though his medium of choice to a public forum such as this so everyone can see what happens when I get really hungry.

......yeah.

My hampster's name is GORE!!!!

toggletoggle post by mark fucking richards at Jun 22,2003 2:59am
definitely a fun time even if there were maybe 50 heads in there...better than our last show, hah. i'm glad that our bassist is starting to feel comfortable moving on stage; him and dave fueding onstage is good times. next time we play, i guarantee more guitar swings and maybe even 'the claw' will make an appearance...

my good buddies in the artists formerly known as veritas never let me down, but the guitar was way too loud and they need a second guitarist....good thing they found one, and he's damn fucking good. i can't wait until they have their new full lineup, new name, and expanded style. i still had a fun time

upon crimson wings, what a bunch of fucking dumbasses. a bassist AND guitarist playing behind the back at the same time? no blood? pff...pussies.

ascendancy is always the loudest, most hateful sounding band every time i see them. good to see some straight up 100000000 bpm metal from this area.

bane of existence would definitely add a lot more power with a 2nd guitarist; jim's leads are tight as hell and amazing, but when he goes into them i want to hear that slammy death metal rhythm behind it. either way, they put on a good show no matter what

i honestly didn't expect to be playing with all that remains at such a small club with such a small crowd, but it happened, and it was great. they had the best sound tonight in my opinion, since they probably have the most expensive, haha. i was pleased with the new tracks.

and i bid you adieu.

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 22,2003 9:53am
i like how all that remains played for 17 minutes, then they chanted one more song, and they singer begrudgingly went back up to make the set 25 minutes.
i think they should have played 45 minutes

toggletoggle post by baneofexistence at Jun 22,2003 12:11pm edited Jun 22,2003 12:12pm
it was a great show i had a good time and had fun playing the guys and gal in ascendancy always put on a great show all the bands were very cool
the first band was cool hope you get a band name soon

u.c.w. kick ass my second time seeing em and they sound great

ascendancy was just amazing as always were gonna be hitting O'briens with them in sept (that show is sorta my b-day show as i turn 37 4 days after)

we (b.o.e.) play'd ok chris of despoilment did an outstanding job on bass as he only jammed with us 1 time for a rhrsl and played with us a few weeks ago in north hampton other than that he learned all the stuff from the cd and just winged it live with us mad prop's go out to him

as for our energy and stuff i was pretty much making sure not to go out of time with mikee and chris so i didn't go out of my way to go nuts plus i/we have 3 more shows to do this week (tonite, tommrow and thurs) and i don't wanna get burnt out too fast at any of them as for the second guitarist i'd love nuthing more than to find a rythm guitarist who i could get along with but in the past i have had major issues with them when i had em in my previous bands and i just don't want to deal with that shit ever again ideally i love to get just a live second guitarist kinda like eric rutan in morbid angel was but that'll probly never happen

all that remains were cool but man what was up with the 25min set and was the singer serious when he asked why don't we have anything better to do that nite like we were interfering with his sat nite i dunno that just was weird to me but they did kick ass regaurdless

toggletoggle post by ATRMattyD at Jun 22,2003 12:16pm
Hey guys its Matt (bass) from All that Remains. You all fucking rocked. Everyone in that place was the coolest mofo ive ever met. How great is RTTP for pictures too??? Wtf, the world is devoid of cool people like you. Anywho... rock out or talk to me on AIM: SelfRevolution25

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Jun 22,2003 12:24pm
worst performance of the night: Amorphis featuring Bill Richards haha.

runner up was the first band, whoever they were.

BOE sounded depressingly bad because they were playing through PA speakers. whats up with that???

All That Remains gets my respect for still putting on an energetic fun set even though the turnout blew. total pros.

and now for the shit talk:

Dear "Metal Scene",
I've heard so much about you, yet I never see you. There was a metal show yesterday....I was there....you weren't......how's your scene doing you faggots? blow me.

sincerely,
some "tuffguy" hardcore kid

toggletoggle post by joe/notcommon   at Jun 22,2003 2:01pm
Dear some tough hardcore guy,
The metal scene might have been in Salem seeing Today is the Day.
However, I can testify that the metal scene was doing just fine on Monday June 16th at the Middle East upstairs.

Sincerely,
some fat metal kid with a goattee

Hey all,
Phil from All That Remains here. First off I totaly didn't mean to sound like a cock when I made the remark about not having anything better to do on a sat. night. It was just a joke.
Second thanks a ton to all who were at the show. It was our first show in a few months cause we have been writing new stuff for our next disc wich is supposed to be out early next year. If you dig some of the new songs tell your friends. Thanks again.

Hey Bane, No offence taken at all. It just seemed that more than one person thought I was tryin' to be a dick and I totally wasn't.

Rev. Drop me a line at Drectasslt@aol.com or catch me online with the same user name and let me know about playing your radio show.

toggletoggle post by DeOdiumMortis  at Jul 1,2003 2:19am
Hey Phil, I wouldn't say you sounded like a dick or anything of the sort, I think it was just weird to hear something like that when we were all digging the songs. I thought it was funny at least, got a good chuckle from it.
It was cool to play with you guys and I'll be sure to catch All That Remains again if we don't play with you sooner than that. Take care man.
