so i tried to get 10 metal bands to sign up for feb 9th's wormtown wednesday and apparently the lucky dog owner has friends from out of state playing that nite.
so wormtown is off for the nite and it looks like shroud and akela will still be able to play. but they will be able to have full sets instead of 15 minutes and use their own equipment as opposed to the original plan. and the show is still free.
its a free show at a nice bar with clean bathrooms and an awesome sound system with an engineer who knows how to use it.
wormtown wednesdays are how this club "scouts" new bands to put on paying weekend gigs. but this is better than wormtown cause you can bring all your own equipment instead of backlining and play a longer set.
Raising kubrick played it a few weeks back and now are on a weekend gig soon and apparently blue will be able to book metal shows there soon. Shroud getting a decent draw could only be a good thing for the future of metal at that club. not to mention playing first will be cool cause it gives people time to go home on wednesday nite and after your friends/fans leave it will be an empty bar displaying exactly how many people where there for you.(seriously that place cleared out after RK played)
