They were two piece, drums and vocals, until the last recording of the band, when they had a second guitarist. The singer / guitar player was Tristan Smaldone (later the drummer of Toxic Narcotic from about 2000-2002) and the drummer was Glenn, whose last name I can't remember.

They used to have a website up, but I can't remember where...this is back when RealAudio was the main web-based music format and Geocities hosted most any site out there.

The band played a bunch of area shows and went on some tours that garnished them a lot of name, with bands like Noothgrush and Voltron.

If anyone has more info, add it. I really like this band, and would be interested in knowing what people thought of them / what they remember about them.

yeah, this discussion is old but i just came upon it and both tristan smaldone and glen mccain of the former (sorry guys!) band prophetic disclosure are friends of mine. the band has been broken up for quite awhile now, i don't know, maybe seven years. unfortunately, i have kinda lost touch with them. as far as i know neither one of them is currently in a band(although they should be!) i think life kinda got in the way. last i knew tristan was living in allston with his girlfriend and glen just got back from a road trip. no other info. maybe you already know they disbanded.

I should hunt down Tristan, I miss that kid. Maybe you and I met before, anonymous? That would be nifty.

toggletoggle post by the_taste_of_cigarettes  at Sep 4,2005 10:13pm
also anonymous, if you want a copy of the discography let me know. I got a million of em.

okay, I can't be referred to as anonymous! paendimonium will do. believe it or not, I never even saw Prophetic Disclosure play a show. only on video. there was one time I was going to see them play a basement show with Phobia in Boston, however lack of space in Tristan's little Geo Metro with all thier equipment inabled me to go. I think it was a free show! oh well! I do have a copy of thier discography as well as thier first 3 song demo recording and first demo full-length tape burned onto cd. i have the actual cassette, too. it's funny, i was just listening to the discog. the other day and thinking to myself how much thier sound fucking ruled. it's pretty cool that people are still talking about them- guy's from Kennebunk, Maine! another band tristan was in as well as Glen's brother Ian and my good friend Jess was Holy-Caust. they played crust punk and they were really awesome for three 16 year olds! or any age for that matter! this was circa 1997. as far as if we've met, "the taste of cigarettes", maybe.

None of the songs were ever titled, unfortunately

we (id) were supposed to do a split 12" with them in 1999, but it never happened. we both recorded, but then tristan left the band and i lost contact with them. i still run into tristan about once a year, he moved all over the place, to ecuador, NYC, allston, and now lives around portsmouth last i heard. glen apparently kept doing prophetic disclosure and as of the last time i saw him, which was years ago at the new england hardcore and metalfest where pig destroyer played, they were still playing. tristan also played bass with us (id) on tour in 1999. we played a bunch of shows with them in the late 90's. them and guernica killed %99.999999 of the bands from new england ever. totally underappreciated.

wow, I haven't heard of this band in quite some time.
an old buddy of NickTTOS burned me a copy as well and I loved it.

I was in the band near the end. I did bass and lead guitar for their last 2 studio demos. I wish we had put out some vinyl. I have all the demos and the discog cd. I have been trying to find more on them myself but not much was actually released. The split wit Id would have been sweet but it never happened. I still listen to the material and I think it holds up really well. Some of my favorite grindcore.
