As you can see, the venue for MDF 2005 has changed!
This situation was unexpected and unavoidable, but thankfully we've secured another top notch venue with a similar capacity. We'd like to apologize to those who have to cancel previous hotel reservations, but again, we really had no idea this would have to happen. We've checked out the new venue thoroughly and we believe it will make for an enjoyable weekend for you.
To fill you in on the location, White Marsh is a bit northeast of the city and in Baltimore County. It appears the only disadvantage of the venue change is the additional distance between the airport and venue. However, it is still just as possible to taxi to the White Marsh area from BWI airport. Instead of a 5-10 minute drive to the venue, you'd now have to expect a 15-20 minute drive.
What to expect:
- Within the next few months, the sound system at the House of Rock will undergo a major upgrade. Expect to hear the show through the same sound system as the previous two years.
- The venue has several bars, including one large wrap around bar just inside the entrance. Getting drinks will not be a problem.
- A full menu is offered.
- There's a perfect area at the venue to utilize for the MDF metal market, where you will be able to find all of your underground music needs.
- As for parking, there is a relatively large parking lot for use of venue customers. In the event that you can't fit in the parking lot, there are several side streets nearby. Parking in the lot is free.
- You won't have any junkies coming up to you asking for your spare change, either. The venue is in a more remote location and the venue stands by itself and isn't connected to other buildings or businesses.
