i have over half of the album downloaded and really... i should just cancel the download. it sucks... its like taking load, making the guitar in like drop c, with some slipknot influence and you have St Anger. im SO disappointed...

you should hear the demo pre production i got a few weeks ago. Its like a shitty local bands first demo.

haha i love how every time a new metallica album comes out we all still hold this faint glimmer of hope that somehow some way it's gonna magically sound like master of puppets again.

The black album was the green album
Load blew
Re-Load extra blew
all the other releases i didn't even care to notice most likely blew
whatever this new one is will undoubtedly blow

they're gone, and they're never coming back, it's time to throw in the towel and just be thankful that Slayer still brings the satan (although diabolus was pretty awful).

I think there should be a s.e. old-school hardcore band called xmetallicax and they should go to places to play and if anyone laughs or asks them to play a REAL metallica song, they get all indignant and stop playing and storm out.
it would be great.

there was a band called Fatallica formed by one of the guitarists from breeding ground.

although Blistered Earth might as well have taken that name.

toggletoggle post by baneofexistence at Jun 4,2003 3:23pm
metallica could become a real metal band again and i still wouldn't bother with them beacause i know it would be them just cashing in on the resurgence of metal

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Jun 4,2003 5:22pm
who cares about metallica and how they should start playing metal again. we have so many more metal bands out today that you shouldn't even be thinking about metallica anymore.

as far as Im concerned metallica lived from 83-91.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 4,2003 8:18pm
darn, why didn't I get a picture of that.
a big metallica standing sign is on the way into the newington, nh walmart.

I finally forced myself to listen to there new song and I almost shit in my fist and threw at the computer. I can't beleive how fuckin awful it is. And Bob Rock did produce this album right? Why does it sound like it was recorded in a dumpster. This band is dead to me.

toggletoggle post by blue  at Jun 14,2003 3:03am
nu metal tuning, CRAP guitar sounds, and an even worse drum sound. is that a trash can or a snare?

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Jun 14,2003 3:17am
what did everybody expect? Something good? Metallica has been over since the late 80's.

toggletoggle post by FinalBloodbath  at Jun 15,2003 2:59am
The albums pretty different yet I find it solid its good two or three solos might have been cool oh well I dig the album although watching them play it with rob is way better the songs sound much better live the dvd is well recorded.

we all know that the introduction of Bob Rock ruined Metallica. the black album was the beginning of the end. that album sucks. i never bought it. taming the sound in order to "get more fans", while forgetting the people who got them there in the first place. typical jew shit. all for the money. corporate zionism. fuck bob rock. fuck the media conglomerates. and fuck metallica and the suckpoop sound.

At first i was happy to see Trujillo playing with them, thinking he deserved it. Now I feel sorry that he'll be stuck playing polished, nu-metal, top 40 dogpile. He shouldve never stopped playing with Muir and Rocky George. Suicidal Tendencies rules.

metal up your ass

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Jun 15,2003 10:46pm
eben, the band was gay after 1991.

toggletoggle post by BabysBreath   at Jun 15,2003 10:49pm
point taken! although i have a guilty pleasure of warming up with some black album material from time to time...

its easy to play, lay off! hahah fuck metallica up thier asses

toggletoggle post by thegreatspaldino   at Jun 16,2003 12:01am
am i the only one that like unforgiven and nothing else matters?

toggletoggle post by DeOdiumMortis  at Jun 16,2003 12:15am
I liked a good portion of the black album and I'm not affraid to admit it. Though I never liked "Sad But True" or "Of Wolf and Man" among others I don't remember. Sometimes I play the opening oof Sandman to quickly check if my D, A and E strings are in tune, its been drilled into my head that much for so long.

toggletoggle post by blue  at Jun 16,2003 12:16am
i think you are.

Just saw their new video for the title track off St. Angsty, [cue uncontrollable laughter] besides the actual video being stupid and just plain aweful, I couldn't even hear guitars. It was all kick/snare with various unintelligable noises underneath it. Only during drum breaks could I catch the poor excuse for a crunch. I'm going to go listen to Fixxxer and paint rainbows... ugh.
