Over-charged for Ebay shipping, should I pay? - usless poll
1...just pay it, it doesn't sound too shady
2...tell him to screw on principle alone
3...tell him that I can handle 1 bad feedback rating, but good luck trying to find someone else to pay good money for an autographed picture of Jeff Reardon

I bid on a postcard on ebay that was autographed by a way sub par professional athlete as a joke present for a friend. The item is a postcard, nothing else. The seller has asked me to pay almost $4.00 for shipping and handling. I think that's ridiculous. I emailed him and told him I thought it was a little steep, and he got really indignant about it. Should I....

here's the thing....A LOT of people overcharge and rip people off on ebay with high shipping charges since it's the only thing the person doesn't get charged commission on.

often they don't state the shipping charges and you have to email to ask them about shipping..if i don't see fees, i will email them and if they don't answer, i won't bid..

seems like more and more people take advantage of this fact and i've been buying less and less stuff on there...

up to you what you want to do. if i wanted to get it for someone, i'd probably buy it...but i dunno how much it cost you without shipping

good luck and may the fucker rot in hell

jeff reardon... sub par? nothing was sub par about that beard

that beard was the AL MVP one year. reardon was having an average season, but the beard put together one of the greatest seasons in MLB history.

You agreed on that amount when you placed your bid if it is written in the auction.

S&H usually covers listing fees, final auction value fees, PayPal fees, labor, packing materials and postage. All of that stuff adds up.

actually if you read all the rules your shipping should NOT cover the fees etc.

ebay fees - given the final price i can't see how it would be more than a few cents

packing materials - i'd be satisfied if he just slapped a 28 cent stamp on it and mailed it to me as is.
