Ten dollars for solid hours of breakowns and Psyopus doing 5 songs. It might not seem like it, but it was worth it.

I don't remember the first band or what they sounded like, so I can't say if they were good or not.

The Hostage Heart- Hated it. Breakdown jerkoff-fest. I knew how gay the night was going to be when he said " this next song is about my friend who broke edge"

Mercury Switch- More mindless breakdowns. Tired formula.

Then some other band played that was way worse than the first 3. Then Psyopus played.

Psyopus- First of all the singer cut his mullet. A lot of people were bummed. It started out kind of rocky, but once Chris turned up the guitars so we could here that immaculate tapping everything was great. The bass was a little muddy but not bad. I watched him some and he's just as fast as the guitar. They now have the drummer from Commit Suicide (R.I.P.) who only knew 5 songs but they were the best ones. All the vital parts were there and the blasts were insane. I'm sure they'll get much tighter as they go along. How can someone learn those songs in 3 weeks? The singer puked onstage and demanded circle pits. Chris was amazing as always. Flipping out and pulling those songs off. He talked about how bummed he's been about Dimebag and that he was his guitar hero and how he had posters of him on his wall. Then he said "I want to play a death metal song" and they played an improv death metal song and he came in the crowd and shredded while we gave him the black metal claw. So that's why I think it was worth 10 dollars.

I always have issues there... so I didn't go.

Christian (drifters) showed up at the bombshelter after the show,goin off about some band(Psyopus),that he could not even pronounce their name ,but he was like "they were pretty crazy,the crowd sucked though" He is ggonna be booking some bands at the shelter from what i gather, IMO that is a dumb idea

I have issues with the way he does business.
the whole screening lyrics sucks.
and he makes a killing on each sound $$ wise.

Drifters is a sick-ass place to play too.
