here's a few things:

1) They are now a two piece -- no bassist or vocalist
2) they are INCREDIBLE now and sound like hella, psyopus, behold the arctopus, and solipsist. The guitar playing was exquisite.
3) I checked out their clothes. To me, I don't see them as looking any different than 92% of the people in Jamaica Plain or Allston as far as fashion goes.

all that said, they kicked ass last night. I, for one, am definitely going to see them next time they play around here.

ps, hella is over rated. that band should stop ripping off bands that werent that good to begin with. next up: deaddeaddeath - they sound just like swans!

after seeing Deaddeaddeath, it made that LONG post battle thing seem stupid.

they are really fucking good, and I imagine either people saw them when they used to just break stuff, or they were immasculated by Steve's insane guitar work. He did this one move where he was playing all of these crazy tapping parts without looking at the guitar or without using his right hand for anything. Then he hit every squeal without flaw. Insae.

swans ripoff bands are the most laughable bullshit ever. same thing with bands that try to rip off world serphant bands.

the guitar player from ddd is amazing. he could totally pull of orthrelm-type stuff.

dude definitely with the guitar. Steve and Chris Arp should do a battle. it would be a close call!

i wouldn't go so far as to compare him to psyopus's guitarist....that dude has reached another level of playing metal.

they didn't break anything when i saw them, they just acted like snobs and played a bunch of music i'd already heard 100x over.

if they somehow improved, which is entirely possible seeing as how I don't know how they could have gotten any worse without turning into a Farewll Chapter cover band, good for them. That's just more time I get to spend making fun of Misery Index.

I've never heard this band, but you love In Dire Need, who is the most generic band that ever existed, along with all the metalcore bands you think are grind.
