yet another metal site is slowing down. (in sept metalupdate went dark)
Hey all you metal heads.,
I am writing with unfortunate news. HitThePit.com is going through a major change. Effective today, myself, Mark Parkinson (ask Sparky), and Matt are leaving the site to pursue other ventures. As you get older, life opens new doors, and with it comes signs. It is up to all of us to see the signs and move forward, after all, everything has it’s time, and it is time for the three of us to do something else.
This however does not mean the end of hitthepit.com. Nate our webmaster is going to continue to move forward with the site, if you have an interest in being a contributor, email him at laurnn8@totalnetnh.net. The thinking is the site will eventually become a peer group where everyone contributes to the content. But more on that later.
As for labels, please send all materials for review to Nate, and he will make sure all material is reviewed:

If label folks want to continue to send me material, I will continue to listen and give you feedback, but my new job does not allow me the time to write like I used too.
In closing, what a fun time? Going back to the Megakungfu days, right too today, I met people I normally would have never met, and have made friends for life in the process. Thank you to everyone for all the experiences you have afforded myself, Sparky, and Matt. We thank you greatly. And lastly, thank you to Jamey Jasta, Jamie Robert, Brian Fair, Rich Rosa, Stephanie Marlow, Kathi Haruch, George Vallee, Chris Misutka, Carl Severson, Trevor Phipps, the consitent readers of the site,and all the bands for being amazing people. We will miss working with you on a daily basis. Keep rocking, and keep the scene real and alive.
