MORBID ANGEL's manager, Gunter Ford of World Management, Inc. has confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET that MORBID ANGEL and SOULFLY will be embarking on a co-headlining U.S. tour in February. "[It will be] just a two-band bill to give both bands a great chance to play a good-quality set and show for the fans," Ford said. "And yes, because of the success and great time everyone had in South America with South American fans and those shows, David [Vincent, bass/vocals] is doing these shows [with MORBID ANGEL]. We did this years ago with SEPULTURA in Europe and had a great time together. Max [Cavalera, SOULFLY/ex-SEPULTURA frontman] and Gloria [Max's wife/manager] are longtime friends."

As previously reported, these are the only two dates announced for the trek so far:

Feb. 27 – New York, NY @ B.B. King Blues Club & Grill
Feb. 28 - New York, NY @ B.B. King Blues Club & Grill

Soulfly? Why?

What a dumb idea. They should do it with King Diamond.

I like your style Joe. Get on that.

Judas Priest, Morbid Angel, King Diamond, and Mortiis should happen.

I don't care much for Soulfly. This always happens, a some genius puts together a show like:

VENOM
MERCYFUL FATE
New Kids on the Block
SLAYER (Hell Awaits-era)
Dave Matthews Band

. . . at Club Good Times!

As long as they stick to Vincent-era jams and Davey isn't huffing dong backstage, this should be supreme. Soulfly, on the other hand, could stand to benefit from a horrific bus accident.

huffing DONG? that's almost as awesome as "deep knee bends in the pickle patch"!

I saw pictures for one of the South American dates a while back and he wasn't all in his Evil D getup, he looked exactly like he used to except with black hair. I think this is awesome, can't wait!

I listened to Domination and Covenant the other day. I refuse to believe that that dude is David Vincent.

Actually, that's not true. Years ago when I lived in NC I used to go to a music store all the time to check out gear. There was this dude who was like 5'1" and wore Mustaine in 1984 style black jeans and huge white high tops. He said he used to hang out with David back in the day. Said he was a dickhead. I wish I could remember his real name.

Soulfly is to music what dogshit is to bubblegum flavors.
