Can you believe that, makes you wonder if they use any of their brain sometimes!

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Nov 1,2004 1:15pm
why are you leaving rat poison around and then calling your dog a dumbass because you don't feed him enough?

toggletoggle post by assuck   at Nov 1,2004 1:16pm
ha

toggletoggle post by Robdeadskin  at Nov 1,2004 1:17pm
is it ok!!

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Nov 1,2004 1:20pm
actually she didn't....it wnadered into someone's OPEN garage....and ate it

toggletoggle post by assuck   at Nov 1,2004 1:20pm
its not like its DOG poisoning

toggletoggle post by ram_girl  at Nov 1,2004 1:23pm
I didn't leave it around.
I live in the country where all the people around let the dogs go unleashed. One of our old (ancient) neighbors put a box of it down on their barn floor (didn't think any other animal would eat it, only the mice).
She is a bit of a wild dog that steals things and brings them home. Like other dogs toys, mice, small birds and the other day she brought me a neighbors car mat, anyway luckily she brought the box home and I saw it and got her to the vets in time to take care of it.

its still could have killed her though. It causes the blood to thin and be unable to clot until they eventually hemmorage from the eyes, ears, inside, nose...etc....

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Nov 1,2004 1:34pm
you should kick your neighbor in the face.

toggletoggle post by ram_girl  at Nov 1,2004 1:40pm
Yeah, that could have been any of the dogs or cats including his grandkids.
And to think no animal except mice would eat it (because it says mice on the box) is pretty fucking stupid (it has a taste to attract an animal to eat it) and leave it on a floor instead of up higher in his barn that is right on the side of my yard and is always open.
After 158.00 vet bill and a whole Saturday spent at the vets and more meds and visits to go I would like to feed him some.

I'd say it's more of a dumb-ass neighbor issue, rather than a dumb ass dog issue.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Nov 1,2004 1:48pm
i'd bury him in hay in the barn and burn it down, but that's just me. your solution might be more legal.

toggletoggle post by ram_girl  at Nov 1,2004 1:50pm
^True^
I love her wild streak (which is what I call dumb-ass) but it can obviously get her in trouble, so now I will be babysitting her when she goes out (I hate chaining dogs when there is so much space for them to go and not be in danger (from neighbors now maybe, from cars no).
I am just amazed that he is that clueless....

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at Nov 1,2004 1:58pm
U should ask him nicely to pay half the vet bill, and when he refuses, scare the shit out of his heart.

toggletoggle post by ram_girl  at Nov 1,2004 2:12pm
I just keep thinking that his own grandson could have gotten into the crap because the kids are always out playing by the barn and how he had no fucking clue of how dangerous it was!

and there is no way in hell he is going to help pay!

toggletoggle post by swamplorddvm  at Nov 1,2004 3:49pm
Shit! Your dog die? How much did it eat?

toggletoggle post by ram_girl  at Nov 1,2004 4:01pm
could have been the whole box. She is alive but has to deal with meds and more tests in the next few weeks.

toggletoggle post by swamplorddvm  at Nov 1,2004 4:03pm
whack. You know people use rat poison in home made bombs to that people will bleed to death.

toggletoggle post by ram_girl  at Nov 1,2004 4:08pm
thats what could/would have happened to her

Rat poisoning almost killed my friends dog (my dogs brother). He ate the whole box, my friend brought the dog straight to the vet and they told him that if it's in his system for over an hour that he could've died. They made the dog eat charcoal and did all kinds of crazy shit. Poor dog. He was just a puppy and he had wandered off to their neighbor's garage and that's where he found it.

What kind of dog you got anyway?

wow, the pitbull at our work just almost murdered a mastiff. we were dropping a car off at emc and showed just in time for the madness. pit's a sweethearts though, seriously.

I have a mixed breed mutt straight from Aruba (they call them coconut retrievers there). She was left to die under a rock on a deserted beach in Aruba with no food or fresh water anywhere.
I was snorkeling in the area when I found her, fed her, had her rescued and took her home....the rest is history.
Anyhow, she has some wild dog to her because she had to fend for herself until I found her (don't know how long she was there but she was still a small puppy). She looks alot like a shepard but may have some dingo mix or something. The crazy dog kills mice (don't need no rat poison with her) and has actually caught and killed small birds. God knows what instinct to survive was bred into her from her mother but she is awesome!!!
Obviously her mother's dumb ass owners dropped her and her sister there to die as soon as they were 8 weeks old and I couldn't resist taking her!
