You feel like a failure when you lose that much, but to overcome that gives people hope...hope that if I fuck up 86 times, I can still make things right.

I've had full blown conversations with 20 complete strangers today simply because I was wearing a Red Sox hat. 20 complete strangers that I'll probably never see again, but for a few good minutes, we sat there in full blown conversations like we had been best friends for years, and I am talking people with ages ranging from 12-70. I sat there and chatted with a dude old enough to be my grandfather for a good 10 minutes just because he was going to buy a Curt Schilling shirt and I said he was a good man.

So again, tell me anything in our lifetime that has done something like this. There's nothing. NOTHING.

i'm not going to argue with anyone on this issue. today i am celebrating. if you love the red sox, enjoy it and don't argue with anyone. if you hate baseball, then i hope something you do care about gives you a reason for celebration soon. and if you are a yankees fan, you already have 26 reasons to be happy, so shut up and give us this one victory.

I will never forget the hate I felt the next morning when they put the kid on good morning america and make a fucking hero out of him, that's fucking bullshit. it was shit like that, that didn't happen this year. sure manny was safe at 3rd in game 3 but for the most part the sox won pretty much fair and square with no questionable calls to interfer and give us a whole winter to say "what if". (I feel the patriots are ALOT like this now)
