The Meat

Part 1: Sorry about the slowness
Sorry about the RTTP server lately, it’s been really really slow or unavailable. My attempts to reach www.featureprice.com to find out what the issue is have proven next to impossible. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon. I am looking into getting a extended service plan so that I will double my bandwidth. More to come on that.

Part 2: 7th anniversary show
Planning for the 7th anniversary show is underway. Thank you to all the bands that played last year. It was awesome and fun. eyes.like.autumn, held hostage, in dire need, the automata, and upon crimson wings all played. The Deal, bands e-mail me and tell me that they want to be on the “list” of bands to play the show (email rttpseven@returntothepit.com ) starting around the beginning of July, voting will take place, the top bands with the most votes by 11:30 pm September 1st 2003 will be announced as the line up live on the show. The concert will go on the 3rd or 4th Saturday in September. Bands, start e-mailing me at the above address now.

Part 3: New T-shirts/Baby Doll T’s
There are still a few RTTP hoodies available for all you out there lining up to get them. However, since it’s been almost a year since the last RTTP merch, the new idea is T-shirts and Baby-doll T’s. We are looking at places to do this inexpensively so that they can be sold for only a few $$. If you know of any place, please, go here:

Part 4: Raffle Idea
Since the cost of RTTP may be doubling to double the available band with, there has been an idea to do a raffle to pay for RTTP. A bunch of record labels have agreed to donate CDs to a raffle for www.returntothepit.com.

Part 5: 100 shows in one year
I’m trying to hit 100 shows this year… 38 down so far… and it looks like there are many, many more to go.
The best thing is that there is an amazing DYI culture forming around the New England. South Paris Maine; Orange, CT; Western Mass, Providence, RI; the south shore; everywhere. And bands are hooking other bands up with shows. Things are moving. The best part, great bands are getting to do shows all over New England and beyond. If you are in a band, put on a show, post on the forum asking for bands to play your show and hopefully they will do the same.
