the girl downstairs had both gas lines transferred to her because she thought that both were hers. then she shut them off (I think she now has oil). so I'm waiting for them to turn them back on (thursday)

space heater?

Pick up a cheap space heater, that way you don't need to run your heat that high and you'll still be warm, plus the majority of space heaters these days have auto-shut-offs so they're not hazardous. Gas prices suck, I just paid 2.39/gal to get propane yesterday!

oil is $55 a barrel now --- if everyone on rttp gave $1 we could easily get 2 maybe 3 barrels of oil!

two years ago my heat broke in the middle of the winter... i spent a week with no heat... the low it got in there was 29F i actually stayed it out till i woke up one mornin and it was 31... that was when i was like "fuck this waiting around for my landlord crap im getting this fixed fucking now" but apparently my apt is cold? i a buddy of mine was complainin cuz it was like 67 or so in my apt...
