Hey don't ask me dude...I didn't book the show...ask Prophetless Productions. I kinda thought they'd be headlining to and I guess they are....UWA is first...we're second...Conifer is third and Ocean is last.

That makes no sense seeing that Conifer draws a good crowd around here.

Hmmmm...I know we've done up some little fliers for the Boston area...and we littered the town with other fliers......hopefully that should get people out there....plus it's Bostons Dead at O'Briens.....that should say it all.

As the promoters, I think it definately falls into the realm of their responsibility. Maybe people are actually taking them.

I gave Brian shit last night too because it's what I do best. I've done some promotion for it but I have other shows I booked that I need to concentrate on.

Brian no longer has very much to do with Prophetless from what I've heard....it's all Liz so give her some credit...she's doing her best to get it promoted..either way Bostons Dead is always the first Friday of every month..people should know this by now...I understand you're just giving people shit thats all.....

But people are dumb, Liz needs to factor that into her promotional campaigns. I give her credit, this is a great line up and December is looking pretty cool too, but if nobody knows about them then nobody is going to go to them.

Well there's plenty of time for someone to slap something together, I'll at least try to get a few around the burbs if someone gives me something printastic.

I have no idea what anyone in particular's paper fliering habits are, but I know more could be going on in general. Getting one on the web for people to print is key - or even better the promoter sending a small stack to a few people each time they have a new flier - would help get the word out to people who don't read this board, Relapse or wherever else the shows are discussed on the web. I've had people send me way too many fliers before (and then the show lineup changed!), so I'd say 10-15 is enough, unless the person tells you they can get rid of more than that. There are a lot of suburbanites here, so sending out a few packs could maybe get fliers into a dozen different Newburys, which always helps.

Yeah true.......radio is really needed...we need to promote through radio too. But honestly with fliers I just don't think enough people pay attention to them anymore.

Thats true, because there are so many bands these days that there are just so many flyers. Does Nasty Habits announce Bostons Dead shows?

You'd think because Shred's booking at O'Briens he'd at least try to get this into some papers or on radio..I see all his other shows posted everywhere...you'd think if he is the primary booking agent there he'd promote ALL shows there.

I don't think that is really Shred's responsibility, maybe if it was a show he booked himself so there was no promoter for it, then it would become his. I wonder if he even knows who is on each Bostons' Dead show.

I know he likes Conifer so he might be announcing this show on his radio show on WBCN.

oh yeah show was fucking amazing as well...i have never been so blown away by a band like was with Conifer.

Those acts from the north last night were absolutly mind blowing, Ocean,who I haven't seen since there debut in July, really pulled themselves together. And of course the mighty Conifer left me with a disturbed mind and a new appreciation for hypnosis.


There seems to be more and more incredible bands coming out of Maine, it has to be something in the drinking water.

All four bands were great! Thanks so much to everyone who came out to see this show. And thanks to the bands for kicking ass. I'm so glad that the Bruce Hornsby meet and greet got over quickly so I wasn't late! And thanks to our many protographers of the night!

Unfortunately I missed the first half of the show but OCEAN and CONIFER were both fucking killer as expected... Cheers to Prophetless for giving the people what they wanna see!!

i had a awesome time! conifer and ocean were amazing! this was my second time seeing ocean and i definately liked them alot better than the first time i saw them.

i took way too many photos of the ceilings and walls though lol

uwa: while I was snapping pictures, the bassist's strap came ff, I would have helped, but I don't know how those things function. they ended with an entombed cover.. I'm not a big entombed fan so I didn't remember the song they had a guy from the audience come on the stage and play bass for them.

attacking frequencies: the second band with a guitar strap issue! for some reason, the first few songs where a little flat. it didn't seem to be quite together. as the set went on, they brought it closer together and the sound was better and better. I think the vocals where a little loud on the first song. by the middle, they went out on a meshuggah riff kick.

ocean: the start of their world-wind 1 week tour. they played and awesome set. I think that more and more people are getting into them and rocking out while they play. the whole front row was head banging and fist pumping.

conifer: they covered a old song but it escapes me what song it was right now. killer set. that is all
