now instead of being able to sit around and do nothing this morning i have to sit thru this crap for an hour and a half

coworker: uhmmm Lynne when you created this binder did someone say or were you under hte impression that the tabs in there were the only ones needed?

me: *rolls eyes* i was told that there wouldnt be many more than those if any and to just do what i had for the time being.

coworker: ok well i have some other ones now that dont have tabs what would you like me to do.

me: *rolling eyes and snapping* i dunno make some tabs and put it in the binder!


man this bitch is really starting to piss me off

i had to do that whole sexual harassment course thingy too. they put me in a room with the hottest women i work with and i had to pay attention and keep eye contact (she was giving me the hairy eyeball the whole time) with this horribly ugly androgenous lawyer while she basically told us not to even look at each other if we didnt want a lawsuit on our hands.

so i get here a little late because there was a school bus causing traffic...

anyhow, i get here...and one bitch who is ALWAYS late looks at her watch and the other one sees me getting a spot in the room and goes.."hmmm is ___ coming in today? you can only sit there if he's not coming in.."

of course i ignored her....there are no other spaces to sit

Sexual Harrassment is fucked. By legal definition, it's "any unwanted comment and actions towards another's physical person". In other words, you hire a guy who's 8 feet tall, and you say "wow, you're pretty tall!", if he has a problem with that he can sue you and win. My buddy lost his job at McDonalds 10 years ago because he grabbed the elbow of a girl who was talking to a friend and ignoring the customers, and he turned her towards the waiting customer. Yup, just her elbow, and for a half second, and for a totally justifiable reason.

Like, I can understand it being inapropriate to say "wow, hey, you got some huge titties!", but you can't even say anything about someone being short, tall, fat, skinny, light, dark, ugly, pretty, or whatever. I think we've turned the idea of equal opportunity into a pathetic shield for pieces of shit to hide behind.

The one doing the "harrassing" should only get in trouble IF he/she continues to harrass AFTER the person being "harrassed" says NO.

Unfortunately, in court, all they have to do is say they felt afraid to say something because you were thier superior. That's why a lot of companies post HR anonymous phone line numbers in stores now.
