My roommate went to the Toxic Narcotic show at O'Brien's and here's the word. They took down all the no moshing signs and let anyting go. There was complete mayhem! I'm gonna have to figure out if this is a one-time thing or the new way of O'Brien's. Anyone know?

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Sep 15,2004 9:55am
I am going to mosh to the inbetween music only.

toggletoggle post by shatteredliz   at Sep 15,2004 9:56am
I'll make sure they play Rod Stewart between bands the next time you're there...

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Sep 16,2004 2:30am

Skitsystem , Toxic Narcotic , All Those Opposed , The Struggle , Sleeper Cell - 6pm All Ages at the P.A.C.
what the hell is the P.A.C.? Polish American Club?

Uh, i saw Adolf Satan, i don't see how anyone would want to mosh to them. I'd rather just stand still in disbelief. And Succubus, u should come take pictures of me at the Obrien's show coming up on the 29th.

capture the essence of Big Bucks Cesca.

yes, actually. Sleeper Cell is really really good D-Beat stuff. All Those Opposed once played a show I booked, told me how to run the show, told me when they were playing, weren't very good, and didn't listen to anything I asked of them. Toxic Narcotic is a fucking AWESOME band and is a legend at this point. Don't know The Struggle or Skitsystem.

Someone should try doing metal shows at the PAC. I'm sure they'd be up for it. I have the number. Please save me the headache of booking 9,000,000 shows in 3 months and try and put something together there, anyone, anyone at all.

toggletoggle post by Terence   at Sep 16,2004 3:06am
Tomas left Skitsystem.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Sep 16,2004 3:07am
never heard skitsystem. i like toxic narcotic and have a few 7"s, never seen them live. i heard a song by the struggle on college radio and it was fucking awesome. i've tried to find info about them on the net but no luck.

Dorchester is on the red line T subway, towards Ashmont (NOT Braintree -- you'll end up elsewhere). Dorchester stops are Fields Corner, Andrew, and Ashmont. I dunnow which one is the PAC.

put a show on there. Do this bill: Mucopus, Where I Left Her Head, Sleeper Cell, Ascendancy, + 1 local band. You will get a good variety of kids, help people get interested in the space a bit more (not just punks) and cross polinate some more local music (Mucopus is from NY, btw). Charge $5 and if enough people come, you can make a small profit after you pay the hall and generously reimburce the bands.

The YMCA in Revere allows shows, I remember an awesome show there back in 2001 or maybe even 2000, with Eternal Suffering and Year of our Lord, among others.

Doesn't sound too awesome to me! Haha...

Anyway, O'Brien's kicked Doug from DEFCON 4 and some other guy out of the BLOODSTORM/ABAZAGORATH show on the 4th, so I don't think anything's changed.

oh wait like the time i landed on top of the lead singer from misery index due to certain members of a band moshing behind me...

yeah...

toggletoggle post by Goratory/Pillory Drummer at Sep 16,2004 10:30am
teh geighness? Not sure what that even means. But yeah, just saying how it is, when you've been doing for awhile and u get to a certain level, my time isn't for free anymore.

The last time we played there, there was moshing. By Joe. For 5 seconds. I've never been so high.

toggletoggle post by Dissector   at Sep 16,2004 4:40pm
I want to play a show with moshing so people can actualldy do the zombie mosh.
