should also check out Bran Barr. you can't get more folk metal than them. Although they classify themselves as, Celtic war metal.

Personally, I think Folk Metal is mad cheesey.

like, I respect DitK cause i know all the guys and they are nice dudes and are really really good musicians, as far as playing goes, but I there's only so much I can get into A - A - C - D repeat repeat solo etc like folk metal goes...

or songs about fucking trolls like in other bands....bah.

I need music to be relevant to me and interesting, poise cool ideas or talk about feelings i share or some shit

I'd take this stuff over power metal any day. This is my kind of cheese.

And yes, Moonsorrow isn't folk metal, they're more like viking/pirate metal.

I like power metal alot, but don't worry I can tell the real cheese from the fake kraft cheese.

angra for one, greta musicains and good lyrics but they annoy the hell out of me, highest pitched singer in metal by far.

I remember back in the day I bought this Opressor Live cd. It starts off with clean guitar over fast double bass. I thought it was country death metal or something. What does this have to do with anything? I have no idea.
