mmmm.... brains....

3 thumbs down to worcester for making me drive around construction and getting stuck down some road made out of chainlink fences. I guess it was some sort of crappy hot-rod, burn out, trashy car thing. I hated it.

the show was suppose to be upstairs, but they moved it downstairs cause it sold out in the pre-sales. Seems that a lot of mall-kids wanted in on the unearth experience.

black my heart: the singer was late. he got in just as the band was starting up. I guess they went on earlier than they were suppose to. the sound for them sucked. usually, the vocals and guitars are comeplete clear, but the shape of the room and the failure of the sound guy to turn them up load enough made it just to echoey. what saved it for me was that I knew a few of the songs so I could sing a long with them. Also, it seemed like all the kids in the audience knew the lyrics too. lots of singing along. They are most-likely going to be doing a live set on rttp on july 12th.

a thousand falling skies: I've seen these guys DESTROY shows in CT, but again, they had the same exact sound issues as BMH. unfortunately, I couldn't get into their set at all cause I didn't really know any of the tracks. also, the mics were way off so the clean vocals came out too flat.

seemless: stoner 70's rock. to say that I didn't like them doesn't cover it. I dislike all that queens of the stone age throw back stoner rock so it didn't surprise me that I wasn't down with them. it seemed like a lot of kids were way into them... i wasn't... if I wanted to hear uriah heep, I would just get one of their cds out of the cut out bin. the sound man got his junk together a bit more for them so the sound quality was at least 2x as good as before. why couldn't this have been done for the first 2 bands?

all that remains: killer set as always. this band has had a new life breathed into them with the new cd. it's like the CDs good and they know it which has charged them up as a band. when they play, they actually are having the time of thier lifes. phil spent more time in the crowd then on stage, inbetween getting oiled up by ken (unearth). before the show, I heard phil talking about hearing a cowbell on the track the deepest grey... during that part of the song, seemless's drummer ran out and played the cowbell for a minute.

unearth: so it was their CD release... sniff... having seen them over the passed 5-ish years and now they are on a "major" metal label, releasing a new full length. they grow up so fast! they played a great collection of tracks ranging their 2 full lengths and 1 ep. they played a ton of stuff off the new cd. thogh I've only heard 1 or 2 tracks from it on CD, i think that that great dividers track is the stand out of the cd. on the drums, mike justin, that kid is an absolute machine. he caught right on to gestures that ken (guitar) gave and then click right into what they are doing. all you haters are going to have to wait to see him in anther techy band.
at some point someone pointed out that buz's fly was down. that was funny.
