I dont think they are losing sight of it, but they aren't beholden to it. Luckily 'Death' is a term that doesn't look bad when other metal genres are attached. I like Black Grind Death Thrash Heavy and Doom, so it works out for me. That being said, I'm sure they will add more Death Metal bands. As far as the tough guy hardcore goes, I hope they are careful with that. I like crust, grind and powerviolence but I hope they see it as icing on the cake or something like that. Remember when the Hardcore and Metal Fest was hardcore and metal. Now it is all mallcore with a few pure bands (eg. traditional death or thrash or black) that can't hide the mallcore taste.
