If you won't exercises to do you should check out some drum sites that will help tremendously. Jumping rope is excellent for double bass. Also wear leg weights for your own personnal practice time an then take them off for band practice. Heel up and down exercises while sitting at work are great to do as well. Your options are limitless, you just have to practice, practice, practice. That is the most important part.
